Her advice on fabric, where to source it and attention to detail is impeccable .She is very clear with her vision, timeframe and costs and anything else that is involved with the restoration work.

I found Vanessa via gumtree when I was looking for somebody to make up new cushions for my Ercol daybed. Not only was she the most affordable of all the upholsterers that I contacted but she was also the most responsive, professional and knowledgeable - providing me with all the relevant information about different services/pricing options but allowing me to make my own decision according to my budget and requirements. My cushions turned out beautifully, truly gorgeous - Vanessa did an outstanding job. She was communicative throughout the whole process & the turnaround was incredibly quick. Needless to say, I’m very pleased.

Vanessa reupholstered a g-plan stool for us with House of Hackney fabric. She did a fabulous job, high quality finish and fast turnaround. We would definitely recommend Vanessa if you need furniture upholstered.

We saw Vanessa's upholstery recommended by The Palm on its Instagram feed. She rebuttoned a new cover on our Caravane sofa after the original had been badly damaged. We washed the stained fabric which turned out fairly well; Vanessa then advised on how it could be reused as a cushion pad for an old pew and some chairs in the kitchen. She recommended new foam, while recycling what we already had and sourced cotton tape to finish the chairs. It all looked great when she had completed the job.
As the new sofa fabric differed from that on the smaller mattress pad, we washed that too and Vanessa put it back on and rebuttoned it. The older fabric looks as good as the new one, both sections of the sofa are squishy and much more comfortable, having been puffed up and rebuttoned, after four years of use, it's all had been freshened up.
Vanessa's upholstery is of a really high standard. She came up with creative solutions for repurposing the fabric and all her suggestions worked well. Given the quality of her work, her creative input and professional guidance, the fees are modest. We'd definitely commission Vanessa again.

Vanessa did an absolutely amazing job bringing my Dad's dilapidated old chair back to life. The end result shows true craftsmanship from start to finish. She virtually rebuilt the chair using sustainable materials, from the filling inside to the lovely fabric she sourced and recommended to cover it in, paying attention to every detail right down to the finishing braid.

I could not have been more delighted when I set eyes on the finished chair.
