I would highly recommend this little gem of a small business as from start to finish it was a pleasure doing business with them. Julie is the customer service face of the family, firstly finding out our requirements and using her expertise to recommend and provide samples of various fabrics based on our brief. She then agreed a price, ordered the fabric and associated materials and set a realistic date for the work to be done. The nice thing was everything went to plan as agreed and honestly managed with no changes or variation to cost or completion timescales. By contrast Nigel, with a little help from his son Luke, was the hands on side of the family and it was great to see an experienced traditional craftsman take a lot of pride in his work paying a lot of attention to detail and taking a lot of care when installing in my home.

If you need your furniture upholstering you would do well to consider this company as they did a fabulous job and we are delighted with the finished article.

What a team! Julie is amazing, resourcing and delivering exactly what fabric and accessories you need to complete your perfect project, when you need it. Nigel seems to have several magic elves working at night to restore and create a special and unique piece of furniture.
We have tried to keep Vale a secret for several years and have had many projects from beds, dining chairs, a Victorian chaise and a special bar bench to name a few.

Our large tired sofa has been given a new lease of life by Nigel at Vale Upholstery! It has been stripped down and beautifully re-covered. The seat cushions are plump and comfortable again. Theres a great choice of fabrics and Julie was very helpful with suggestions as we chose, but not at all pushy. As a previous reviewer said there is no hard sell. Vale arrived to collect the sofa as promised and delivered it back to us. We are absolutely delighted with the result. Nigel is a true craftsman. Thank you.

We had a very tired looking chaise longue, springs hanging out underneath, and very shabby covering!
