Well done Graham and the Team!
You can see why they have such great reviews. Selling quality, well cared for cars at reasonable prices.
I'll be back when it's time to change.
Would not recommend.
Between viewing the car and collecting it, I found out that due to the vehicle age the cambelt was due. This was not mentioned once by Graham Hilton Cars and they had already taken my deposit. When approaching them about it they had no idea it needed to be done but agreed it did need to be (bit shocking for a garage!) and said I’d need to pay additional on top of the agreed price for them to do this. Had I had not found out about the cambelt myself, would have had an expensive shock and problems with the engine later down the line!
A few days after collecting the car I received several calls, texts, voicemails and emails from the salesman being pushy asking for extra payment ‘can we just do it now’ (very rushed).
It transpired that he had apparently made a mistake with the paperwork (and trying to make it my problem) by attempting to fix it before his boss got back from holiday (unprofessional) but i didn’t have the paperwork at hand having just come back from work.
When I went to the garage to discuss the issue with the paperwork showing a settled balance on collection of the car, I was told ‘well if you don’t want the car we’ll just take it back’…not exactly the customer service you expect! Still no refund received.
Really disappointed, not the service you expect.

I was super excited to find the exact make, model and spec for sale at Graham Hilton Cars. Mazda MX5, Mk3.5 Sports Tech Power Retractable Hard Top PRHT, for those who are interested
I picked up my car last Friday. Here's how the purchase all went.
Short summary: All was Brill.
Longer detail.
I saw the ad just after it was placed, so the garage inspection & service hadn't yet been done.
After a brief chat with Kyle I placed a fully refundable Holding Deposit.
Hubby & then visited. Kyle left me on my own to inspect the vehicle. Kyle, Graham & Hubby proceeded to chat about anything other than cars as Hubby doesn't drive . I checked the general very good condition and that the the VIN stickers all matched the VIN plate & engine compartment stamp. A check of the oil filler cap coolant coolant reservoir tank followed both all ok and the dip stick. OK plus the oil looked new. It had recently had a dealer service. I noticed that one tyre was close to the legal limit and I mention to kyle that I'd be getting this changed back at home. This was my noting things for me to attend to, rather than a price negotiation point. The reason being that the car was a fair price for it's age and condition. Kyle surprised me by saying that they would change the tyre as part of the inspection! That was pleasingly unexpected.
All looked good so I invited hubby to sit in the car. He declined, saying “Whatever makes you happy makes me happy”. Being 6 foot 3inches, I think he was contemplating the imminent loss of the comfy hire car.
A short test drive revealed a low speed knocking from the retractable hard top roof. A common issue affecting 30% of PRHT Mk3s at some point. It was agreed that their mechanic would resolve the knock while doing the garage full inspection. We then checked the service history, HPI & V5C. The inspection report would be provided later. Kyle & I felt that a full service would be duplicating the recent service, so their mechanic would just do their 75 Point vehicle check. A further deposit was paid and the collection to follow, some time next week. I requested Kyle to ask the mechanic to advise if the car had been undersealed. This was on my list of things to do, in due course.
Kyle rang me a few days later. The roof knock was traced to a worn roof pin on the driver side. This was taped up and thus resolved the noise. Kyle insisted that they would replace the pins. I wasn't expecting Graham Hilton Cars to do this additional work, but they insisted. My car collection went smoothly. Kyle advised me that the car did not have an underseal. But as a full service wasn't needed, they'd undersealed the car instead. Wow! Kyle followed me to the car hire drop off site and I drove him back to the garage.
Hubby and I had a lasting impression that Graham Hilton Cars, Kyle and Graham are solid people to do business with. We are very happy with the whole process.
Thanks Kyle and Graham.

Oh, the MX-5 now? As much fun as when I bought it!
A very happy customer!
