Purchased a car for a fair amount of money on 3yr finance. During the first year, unfortunately leak was the cause from the boot (from day one), which then worked its way around all the internal spaces bar one. Garage had around 6 occasions to fix the leaks, but were never able to stop them properly. The owner insisted to take it back. So im not sure if the assistant informed owner the problem was not 'fixed' the first handful of times. Gained a reasonable quote from a reputable company to address problem once and for all and this garage have refused to pay. From what i could tell, from a reasonable state of a car. Due to lack of diagnosis, the car now has mould which is not seen to the eye. Not a good experience at all. Not to mention the money spent, and the stress caused as each leak presented itself. Creating mould inside. The quote, was not a patch, on the sale price.
Bad management for the sake of money.

I bought a second-hand low mileage Astra at the end of September 2022 from Shipley and the sale was handled by Sam. Sam was friendly, approachable and not at all pushy. I cannot complement him enough! On viewing he quickly agreed to a couple of things to be done to the car. Sam has also been very responsive in handling post sale questions. The car is great as well!
I have no hesitation in recommending this garage and Sam in particular for a very pleasant and professional service!
