I visited Puglia with my other half in June of this year and we booked to stay in a BEAUTIFUL trullo villa (Trullo Iduna) which was set in the countryside and had its own private pool within driving distance of some beautiful towns and cities. The whole experience with Essential Italy was fantastic, they helped us to first find the perfect villa that suited our needs, then the conclusive guide to the local area we received before departure meant that we could plan our holidays - ensuring we had time to fit in all the best bits! Helen and Ian were always on the other end of the phone or an email when we had any questions, then the villa host and local contact were on hand whilst we were away. You could really tell that the recommendations and guides were from personal experiences and made our trip all the more enjoyable.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect holiday and it was all thanks to Essential Italy. Can't wait to book our next holiday (hopefully to Sicily) with them and to explore more of their glorious properties!

Thank you Essential Italy! 💕

Have travelled with Essential Italy several times and each time they get better and better. Sardinia, Puglia and Tuscany all organised to perfection. Friendly staff both in the UK office and on the ground in Italy. Heading back to Tuscany shortly and can't wait. Thank you Essential Italy and I look forward to many more holidays with you.

My wife, baby daughter and I stayed at Casa Cristina in northern Sardinia in late May this year.

Support before and during the booking process was good. The villa listing included some misleading information about the provision and cost of air conditioning. This was resolved before we arrived.

When we arrived we discovered the villa had undergone building work during the off season. The open veranda we had been particularly attracted to had been glazed in. Some people might prefer this. We didn't.

Other minor gripes included: the semi-outdoor kitchen was not in use; the bath in the master bed suite was out of order and smelling faintly of sewage; the listed DVD player was missing; and, the villa was stocked with the absolute bare minimum of crockery and utensils. The DVD player was eventually replaced. Apparently the bath wasn't listed as being for client use. And we were able to buy bowls, tongs, etc locally and cheaply.

As I say, mostly minor gripes, but the way they were handled and the fact they arose at all took some of the gloss off the holiday. Essential Italy charge a premium price but, on this occasion at least, don't follow through with the service to match.

Note: beware the 'outstanding' feefo review score. These reviews are by invitation only and - perhaps unsurprisingly - we weren't invited by Essential Italy to provide feedback after our stay.

We (1 adult, 4 children) are just back from a week at Casa Rafael in Porto Rafael, Sardinia. We arrived to a lovely informative welcome by Myriam plus fresh pizza, fruit and drinks in the fridge. The apartment was just perfect in every way. Amazing and vast outside space with eating areas, seating areas, sun loungers and deck chairs, shower, 12 steps to the beach below and the view... the view that always demanded your attention. Inside was quirky, clean and equipped with everything we needed.
Porto Rafael is a really special place. Quiet, colourful, full of character, overly beautiful, and hidden! It's one of those places you selfishly don't want anyone else to find.
Thank you Essential Italy.

Have since travelled once or twice a year with Essential Italy and stayed in both hotels and villas. Service is always exceptional, accommodation is always excellent. THANK YOU!

I’ve just been helped out by the wonderful people at Essential Italy. Having received the dreaded “your flight has been cancelled” text from EasyJet whilst I was in Sicily, the lovely folks at Essential Italy sorted me out with fantastic accommodation at very short notice

I thoroughly recommend
- Rosetta at Porto Rafael (unbelievable views)
- Riva Azzurra at Cannigione (lovely little seaside town)
