Only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because quite a number of items were not available!
As a new vegan (just 1 month), this restaurant will definitely be a regular! I will try more from the menu. The portions are massive so I saved the remaining food for the next day! Thanks!
To stop her from getting too hungry, and to ease her disappointment I ended up spending a fiver on one of their "cakes in a jar". Humph...
Note to owner... Next time if a customer asks if everything is on the menu please can you and your staff actually check rather just saying "Yes". Feels like the kind of thing that shouldn't need to be asked. 🤷♂️
When I have eaten there before, its been nice food.
So anyway, 2 years on, I decided to give them another chance and pop in store. I ordered the chick pea curry, mac pie and black rice. The food is as bland as hell. The quality has definitely dropped and the guy didn't even get my order right (mushy sweet potato something, could never be a curry, imstead of the chick pea curry), but I didn't clock on, until I got home.
I'm very disappointed.
A lot of vegan options packaged very well into platters/meals. The patties are really nice and all the main courses do have the apt flavours. Pumpkin mash and red beans are a good pick. The ambience is well thought of and is neatly maintained. Dining in is ok, but not suitable for large groups. Location being in a prime area, makes finding the spot easy. Parking can be tricky as this is in the main road. Definitely recommended if you are in Lewisham area.

The Plantain, Mac & Cheese as well as the Callaloo were fine. The rest of the platter unfortunately I found rather bland; no real taste and each did not add any real substance to the rest of the items.
While I can certainly appreciate how this can appeal to a wide scope of people, I just didn't find the dishes flavoursome and, those dishes that I found had substance, were simply okay for what they were.
Considering the above, I have opted for a rating of 4 as I feel a 3 would be a tad harsh.
