The Falafel House

Absolutely amazing fresh and tasty food! Everything is cooked to order so it's the freshest it can be, and at a bargain price for the quality! The guy who owns the shop is so friendly too, and has made sure me and my NHS colleagues are well fed during our long shifts!

This the local business you should support during these times. The falafel is delicious, everything is vegetarian and you can tell how much effort the owner puts in the dishes. He's always open and the smell from the delicious falafel will hit you from the street.

This place is amazing! The menu variety is awesome, and the food is worth the price. Was my first time trying falafel other than a buffet half a decade ago and it's quickly became the one place I go to to get lunch in the university.

This place is delicious vegan falafel heaven. And the man is the angel of delicious Mediterranean food. Love it! Thank you loved the mango dressing too. X

I visited a while ago now so I'm hoping things have improved. When I went the knowledge of veganism was severely lacking and the service was rude. I wanted to check if the pittas were vegan and the man's abrupt and snarky response was that all pittas are vegan so he didn't know what I was talking about. They're not, even cheaper ones can be made with milk/whey powder etc. Also, they weren't sure what sauces were vegan either. The man (I think the manager/owner?) was rude and condescending in his interaction with me. I think he mistook me for a student, but even if I had been it certainly didn't warrant the way he spoke to me as it showed poor customer service and was just downright rude! The plus side was that the food was tasty but, especially as I'm lactose intolerant, it's a shame I couldn't trust what options were actually vegan so I went for a salad box. They definitely need to improve their vegan knowledge and attitude!

I have been here numerous times throughout 2-ish years.

Consistently good food with fast service, but unfortunately the owner always appears to be in a bad mood - doesn't tend to answer questions, and always a "fed-up"/ frustrated tone.

Gave me chicken even though I’m vegetarian. Refused to refund me.

Me and my girlfriend went this morning for a bite to eat and a drink. We ended up getting the vegetarian breakfast wrap and the bluebananna smoothie, both were absolutely delicious and would recommend this adorable little cafe to anyone and everyone! Will definitely be back when I’m next in Cardiff!
