Animal House Veterinary Surgery

Took our 7yr old lab in as she was not well, told she had pyometra and she had an operation and has been perfect since back to full energy. Researched price and was best out of 3 vets. Excellent staff and Excellent vets all round.

Animal House veterinary Surgery Warwick provide excellent care for your animals. Both vets Hugh & Martin & lovely Receptionist have all given quick appointments & treatments & advice for my poorly dog.
Would highly recommend this vets.

As a visitor to Warwick I received first class treatment from the vet who I rate as excellent in the way he treated my dogs illness. I would certainly recommend Hugh Duffin.

Basic appointments have always gone fine. No issues. But the first real problem I had with my dog, is when things went down hill. When they shaved her fur for a blood test, they took a lot of skin of and her neck was raw for a few days bleeding on and off. Then when we had time make claims, although it’s a very small sheet of questions my insurance needed. It takes them 10 days to do this. Which seems obscene for about 5 questions, especially when they know delaying this is delaying payment from insurance. And delaying my dogs next treatment stage

Excellent and positive experience at Animal House in Warwick. The vet was so kind and helpful

We was recommended by a friend to use animal house as they have nothing but good experiences from them. Sadly we have not.

We presented our cat with a skin issue. The first vet we saw was very helpfull and the problem seemed to be healing. This was not the case we paid full price for 3 visits and paid for all the medication recommended to us. Even was told they had the strongest flea treatment as they described this as the problem to the skin reaction.

We spent £100s with them. We treated the house every month with flea pest sprays. We treated all the animals with the products they sold us. But they were adamant it was a flea issue. But never found one single flea on the cat at any visit made.

Few months have past and the cat has never healed by any medication sold by animal house. We found a flea on the other cat one day so decided to speak to the advisers at pets at home. Where we was buying the flea killers from.

The advice given to us was try a flea treatment that does not have the same formula as the vets. The lady told us she uses it on her cat as the other treatments affect her cats skin.

As i could not afford it at the time i went back s few days later, sadly the same person was off so i had to explain the problem again. They sold me a flea treatment that helps prevent fleas staying on the cat. Then sold me a pill for £5 to irradiate the fleas currently on the cat within and hour.

In all cost me around £30 for the stuff recommended. Less the consultation fee at animal house. And the cat has seen the best recovery for months.

I had previously put in a direct complaint and asked for a refund and got refused. Im not one for putting this type of review online but pets at home have saved me a massive headache and huge cost.

I do not suggest not going to animal house, but i feel this review is justified. My friend is still getting a top notch service and still feels they are the best.

This incident might be a one off. But if something dont feel right. Speak to the staff at pets at home as they seam to know what they are talking about and if its above their knowledge they would advise to go to the vets.

So i visited this vets for the first time today, they were nice enough and alll that upfront however after wards either some of the staff are not very knowledgeable about some things or on the worse side I was lied to over pricing of items, I did ask about it initially and told one thing and when I researched it myself found out the information I got was wrong, that feeling of having been misslead one way or another is the main reason for the 1 star, if that hadnt been the case this would have been 4/5 stars otherwise.

I have resolved this issue with the practice, and upped my review from 1 star to 3 stars, will make another reveiw if I have to visit again.

I have been once again andmy most recent vist was very good and am upping the rating again from 3 stars to 4 stars
