Registered and took my dog Max today, Absolutely brilliant, very detailed in the diagnosis of my dogs problems (Tracheal collapse) and explanation of the medication in great detail, very friendly and kind, top notch. Very happy I chose them after reading reviews and receiving recommendations.

Withy Grove is an amazing vets. They cared for my family and for my dog sooo compassionately when she was put to sleep.
We waited and finally got Nellie who is now 3 and their advice from 9 weeks to now has been superb
Everyone of the staff is amazing and friendly.
If you haven’t tried them you need to and wish I had known before.

We have been coming here with our dogs for 40 years and until August 2022 it has been a consistently good experience. From the owner, Michael Clarke through all their staff, a warming and efficient service. Costs have been reasonable until now. The business is now in the hands of Medivet, part of a Luxembourg run conglomerate with over £100 billion in investments. My dog, Toby, has to have long term treatment for fits and the cost for that treatment has gone up over 200%. A two months treatment for his liver complaint has now reached £161, over a £30 increase overnight. A consultation is now £35. Hopefully, the good care and service of the last 40 years will continue but keep an eye on the eye wateringly steep rise in prices.

Took our dog here since he was a pup. He doesn’t like going to the vets, but even though he barks he wags his tail and is a big softie. The supposed vet wanted to muzzle a frightened dog to give him his injections, backing him into a corner first. Everyone knows you don’t back a dog into a corner.

We’ve used this vet for years for all our pets but the service and prices have worsened since they were taken over by Medivet. Just be warned the 4.6 stars they have is based on the previous owners.

Becca saw my dog Eddie today. He doesn't like the vets, he also hates anyone touching his feet or teeth. She was wonderful with
him.

I registered my dog after looking round at vets in the area. I had to rush him in as he hurt his back. The first vet I saw was an older gent and said after exam of my dog an injection would help and they usually spring back after a few days. The next day he was in so much pain I took him back. I saw a young female vet who said scan or put him down quite bluntly. I was in shock after being told he should recover in a few days. I asked her for for pain killer for him and time to think. (Scan being £2000 my pet insurance had just run out). I was so caught up in the moment I agreed to a scan, which in hind sight I should have asked for a second opinion. I went to Wigan paid for all the treatment. A few weeks later when waiting for the report Withy Grove sent me an invoice for £2400. When I rang them up I asked what this was for he said the scan. I had actually paid £1700 for all the treatment in Wigan so Withy Grove added £700 for making a phone call. I think this is totally disgusting!! talk about kicking you when you're down. I asked the receptionist to report it to the management and heard nothing back so they obviously think this is ethical.Vets fees are astronomical but there are some out there for the love of animals and still make a healthy profit. Shocking!! Especially when actually all he needed was strong pain relief and rest just like us humans. Trust your own instinct and ask for a second opinion always.☹

I’ve used Withy Grove for a number of years. The vets and nurses are really experienced and I always feel confident they will look after my dog and provide the best treatment. I know they are now Medivet but there was no noticeable difference with the practice
