As it should be; this vets priority is the patients.
I have always found Ben speaks the truth as he finds it and I appreciate this can be blunt at times but he will always be honest and gives you, the client, the honest answers to all questions asked. He is also sympathetic when it is needed and treats all pets as he would his own, with the animal welfare being his priority.
If you want honesty & consistency then this is your vet.

I entered the practice. Never been before and couldn't be ushered out quick enough because I wasn't wearing a mask. The door was open so I couldn't see the sign that stated to wear a mask and wasn't told this on booking. I have no issues wearing a mask. I wear one 12 hours a day at work and lateral flow every day but it was an unfriendly welcome and charged me 2 pounds for a medical paper mask which I thought was over the top. 50p would be more appropriate seen as a box of 50 costs only a few pounds. I was then verbally remanded by ' karen ' another customer who asked why I couldn't just comply with the mask notice. I was now sitting wearing my 2 pounds mask !!. Red rag to a nurse who wears a mask 12 hours a day. Vet was unfriendly and stated the cat should be in a crash box as soon as I entered rather than a basket as apparently the cat scratches. I don't usually bring the cat, it was a favour for the owner. The cat was wonderfully behaved and just sat quietly whilst he injected her. No cash float to give change. That's fine but not told upon booking. Never again although the nurse who ushered me out was nice and I think she was just so concerned due to immunity of staff

I wouldn’t trust the vet Ben with a slug, never mind a pet.
Our family dog is now dead due to the lack of care given out by this vet. After having to go to another vet practice for advise, we actually found out how poorly our dog was. Ben couldn’t care less about our dog, he just wanted the money brought into his practice.

Always happy with this small team. I feel well supported through my cat's various health problems and always able to ask questions when things are complicated. My fiesty cat is so comfortable in Ben's room he almost had a nap there today, which is the highest compliment really!

I have a multiple pets (rabbits, chickens, one parrot, cats) and Ben's has always been knowledge and helpful with their (many) needs.
I appreciate Ben's honesty and him taking the time to talk me through the relevant information and answer all my questions.
Ben has been my pet's vet for years now and could not recommend him enough.

Ben is a lovely, thoughtful and experienced vet. He took amazing care of my family dog before he passed away, and was highly empathetic and supportive during such a difficult time. I still take my own dog to Ben as I whole heartedly trust him and his morals. I know that when I leave my dog with Ben he is in the safest hands, and his prices are more than fair. Thank you Ben and the team at Carlton and Arnold vets for taking such great care of mine and my families fur babies.
