If I could give no stars I would.
We had a littler of puppies , we called asking for a price and to book a date in for the puppies to be vaccinated / chipped and flea/wormed along with a flea/worm for the mother the lady was really helpful, we were given a price therefore booked in for a month later , called to confirm date of payment and to confirm price again a couple of weeks later - all fine.
It then came to the day of payment , went into pay and the lady at reception advised us that it’s going to be more expensive and we now have to pay for the flea /worm treatment separately , we explained that we’d booked as been given a price etc and the lady was not helpful at all , didn’t accept their responsibility of misinforming us to begin with and said to look else where. Leaving us with the choice of paying their suddenly changed prices or find somewhere else within 2 weeks of the puppies leaving.

Awful service , misleading / incorrect information throughout all staff.
Very disappointing and would not recomend

I went to several places in the area with an injured pigeon, he’d sat outside our flat inside the block with a broken, bloody wing and I’d taken him in overnight. Unfortunately, due to Aviation flu, we couldn’t keep him as we have a budgie and couldn’t risk our budgie being in danger, otherwise I would have reared him back to health. I rang Green Acres Rescue who were awful and told me to take it to a nearby vets as they refuse to take it. I drove around to vets, the first one being the Fentons in Pembroke Dock, they were also bad. I told them I had a pigeon with a broken wing and I knew most likely he’d be put down but I didn’t want to HEAR it, I just wanted them to take him and do the best they could, give him the best care possible. The woman at reception told me “well you clearly know it’ll be put down and there’s no point beating round the bush. It’s the best thing for it”.. I asked her to please not say it because I already knew, I have a lot of experience with birds and animals in general and although I knew it was the kindest thing with there being no bird sanctuaries nearby, I just didn’t want to hear it out loud for personal reasons (PTSD). She continued telling me like she was telling me to grow up and it really upset me. They told me they didn’t even have a vet so couldn’t kill it and told me to go to Medivet. I found Medivet in Pembroke and omg, I couldn’t have felt more understood and comfortable. The lady at the desk was so so wonderful, I explained what had happened and I understood with bird flu if they couldn’t take him but please not to mention him being put down as I knew it was most likely to happen with my experience with animals. She told me not to worry at all and gently took the box from me and thanked me for taking the pigeon in and taking care of it. She told me he was in safe hands and to not worry and she even asked if I wanted my box and towel back which I said no to but was shocked she even took that into consideration considering the circumstances! I was really grateful and nearly cried at how lovely and understanding she was. I’m considering changing our vets to Medivet now! I’m beyond grateful and touched by their kindness, thank you so so much. I hope the pigeon is okay and was given the best care, even though he was most likely put down to prevent him from being in pain. He’d obviously been attacked and I just wanted the best for him so thank you for taking him in. I’m shocked nobody recommends Medivet to me, I’ve heard do the others but they’ve all been rubbish. I was even told that Green Acres Rescue took ALL animals and would even take the pigeon hundreds of miles if it meant he would be saved and helped, but after an hour on hold to the place, they told me no!!! So I 100000% recommend Medivet!!! They were the ONLY place that took him in and the ONLY place that was so friendly and loving. You can tell they LOVE their animals and YES, they took more animals than the other places!! THANK YOU MEDIVET!
