It was very interesting. The staff member Alex was very well informed and generous with her knowledge. The wine was very nice and I particularly enjoyed their cuvee. Well worth a visit.

A group of 8, we had a tour of the vineyard, with explanations of pruning/training/harvesting and types of grapes being grown. This was followed by a visit to the winery where we learned about the viticulture and production techniques. Our guide was very knowledgeable, approachable and entertaining. We ended with an excellent tasting in the tasting room. This was followed by a late lunch in The Star pub just down the road. An excellent day out plus some good wines!

A must if you're in the east Sussex area! I can honestly say it has been one of the best wine tastings I've experienced. Alex was knowledgeable, passionate and charming while guiding us through a flight of delicious English wines. The tasting room is small, cozy and comfortable. I loved how Alex guided the tasting, it made me appreciate all the flavours and aromas better.
I also feel the experience was great value considering the great quality of the wines and we ended up buying some bottles (would've bought more if it wasn't for the weight limit on luggage!).
Overall I highly recommend Hidden Spring and especially if you have the opportunity to have the tour and wine flight with Alex and Sally.

Truly fantastic. An essential visit.

A small quaint tasting room with a cosy atmosphere and amazing hosting. Alex was the perfect host. She knows every detail about all the wines, winemaking and English wine in general. She helps one explore and understand the flavours and aromas of each wine with a friendly and inviting attitude.

Her personality brought another layer of enjoyment to the whole experience with zero pressure to buy any of the wines. She simply wanted to spread her enthusiasm for English winemaking.

The experience was of grate value too. It's possible to taste for free, but £10 for a guided tasting of the wines is cheaper than drinking at the pub!

I would highly recommend everyone to visit and have a wonderful time. Thank you Alex and Sally!

Small, independent vineyard with informal tasting room and terrace overlooking the vines. Friendly owner. Tried the Bacchus, Pinot Gris & Chardonnay. I really enjoyed the Chardonnay - biscuity, rounded flavour; Katie’s favourite the Pinot Gris which was light and crisp.

Had a tour and guided tasting here last week with three friends. It was a fantastic tour of the vineyard and how they make their wine.
It was informative without being too much . The guided tasting was also great and introduced me to the Baccus . We also stayed and had another drink after the tour .
Really lovely owners and genuinely interested in wine and love talking about their work.
Would definitely visit again if I was down in East Sussex .

We really enjoyed our tour of Hidden Spring’s vineyard and winery. The chaps running the place were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Fantastic still and sparkling wine tasting to finish off a lovely afternoon. Would highly recommend!

We visited Hidden Spring for my sister’s hen party. Everything was perfect - a great tour from Chris, a delicious tasting with David! Everyone learned something and said how fantastic it was with delicious wine. Would recommend a trip here!
