You pay for parking so I can see the pros and cons to that because if you're local you wouldn't want to pay everytime you fancied walking the dog. And in terms of what you pay for with parking, there's a cafe and gift shop, so I understand why people are hesitant to pay because it's not necessarily offering anything unique.
The cafe is amazing, lovely staff and really great food. All came out on time and still hot and fresh.
The woodland Trust own some of the land and they look after it brilliantly, so if you ever bump into any of the employees, you'll see how lovely they are!
Many different walks which can include lakes and Highland cattle,to suit the amount of time you've got available. The visitor centre serves a great selection of food at value for money prices.
One of the standout items on offer are the amazing scones.Always fresh and a great choice of flavours.
All in all,a great way to spend a day.
