Sophie's Cakes

Thank you to Sophie for making our spectacular wedding cake! It was a great feeling being able to design our cake from scratch and after bombarding her with lots of photos we liked, Sophie was great at helping us make a final decision which incorporated all of our ideas. She is extremely professional and everything was very well organised.

The end result exceeded our expectations! It was so beautifully made and matched our theme so well. It tasted delicious and we were so happy that we had enough to take home with us the next day!

Sophie stepped in last minute after we were let down by our original cake supplier. We're kind of glad we were let down now... Sophie's extraordinary talent created our dream cake which just so happened to also be the tastiest cake we've ever eaten! Nothing was too much for her, Sophie 100% got behind our unconventional vision, adding flare and finesse to help it become everything we wanted it to be and more. Highly recommended!

Sophie and her husband Chris are amazing. They're both such lovely, kind people and the cakes are out of this world. Sophie's designs are so creative and she has incredible skill - she created two gorgeous cakes, several cupcakes and beautiful cookies for us. Not only were they works of art, but they tasted great! Would definitely recommend!

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with Sophie and see her amazing work firsthand. Not only are her cakes exquisite, they also taste amazing! Sophie is also a lovely kind person and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her!

Sophie is superb to deal with and the cakes are wonderful. Important note for others be sure with the sizing as it’s very misleading and deceptive what’s shown on the website.

Sophie cakes depends on your guest numbers but how do measure each slice size...? Recommend to ask her for the dimension of the actual cake.

After paying £400 you would expect decent size.

We contacted Sophie after seeing her work on Instagram. One of my existing suppliers shared a cake she had made. I had contacted a few cake makers before finding Sophie. What I loved about her was how helpful she was. It was during the pandemic and she took the time to explain everything fully which I appreciated. It was nice to feel out custom was valued. I emailed some initial ideas to her but when we met for the appointment and cake tasting we changed our mind and this wasn't a problem. On the day, we didn't see Sophie but she worked behind the scenes to set up and make sure our cake was exactly as we wanted -
thank you Sophie for being a professional and hardworking supplier. Sophie's cake was delicious and looked beautiful all day. We cut half for the evening and took the rest home to enjoy with family & friends in the days after the wedding, when it was still delicious. Thank you!

We were so pleased with the service from Sophie from the first contact all the way through to our wedding day. She was so accommodating with our date changes due to covid and to all the ideas we had for our cake. We had a lovely cake tasting at her home and every flavour we tried was incredible! On the day the cake was everything we had wished for and more, not only did it look amazing, but everyone commented on how great it tasted. Thank you so much Sophie!!

Sophie has been a complete pleasure to deal with in both the run up to our original wedding date ( postponed due to COVID), and accommodating our new wedding date. The cake tasting was so calm and relaxed ( at her premises before COVID) and we left with a clear description of our cake including flavours, sizes and decorations.

Our final wedding cake was vastly different to the extravagant one we had planned due to COVID and reduced numbers, however Sophie completely pulled it out the bag and provided us with the deepest cake I've ever seen which was more that enough to give to family.

We went for black forest and oh.my.god! The taste of it is hard to describe but perfection comes pretty close! It was moist and just melted in the mouth and the cherries were devine. All our guests commented on how lovely it was and I must admit to a nibble while cutting it 🙂

All in all, when we have the big reception when we can, I will definitely purchase another cake from Sophie without hesitation xx
