We had a anniversary meal in the dovecote restaurant. The service was 5 star from the moment we walked through the door! Asked if we wanted a drink in the bar area before going to our table for food which we did. The bar and lounge area is beautifully presented and very comfortable. We had our drinks then was taken through to our table. The restaurant was very nice and set out perfectly, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly too. We placed our food order and every course come out at a reasonable time and it didn't feel rushed or felt like you was waiting in anyway which was nice. Every course we had was an excellent standard of food and the chefs presented it beautifully on the plate! The only thing I can say thats a negative is that there wasn't any butter provided with the cheese board selection this wasn't really a big issue for me though! Thank you to all the staff at the dovecote restaurant for giving me and my wife the perfect evening and we hope to visit again soon.

Lovely venue Andrew and the staff were brilliant, we were looked after very well and kept hydrated.
The Christmas lights here are gorgeous, they really do go to town on the Christmas theme here.

We ate at Roosters, all 9 of us. Loads of choice from pub classics, pizza, gluten free and vegetarian options. At first it looks as there could be too much choice but we had everything from sausage and mash to sirloin steaks, fish platters, burgers etc. Everything was well cooked and came out in good time, even though the whole place was busy. We got a brilliant separate booth, which was great as it was still part of the restaurant but also private enough to all talk without raising our voices. Great front of house team. All in all a very pleasant evening.

Customer service was great, quality of food was amazing, we had Sheila and she was lovely very helpful and friendly.
Couldn't fault the service, any issues we had Sheila dealt with it.
We had our wedding outside in the dome, definitely recommend it,

I've been to Roosters on many occasions. They always serve great quality food, and well presented.
What unfortunately let them down this visit was the time it took for them to take our order. We waited nearly 20 minutes before we flagged someone down.
Drinks were then brought out so slowly that we instantly ordered our next round of drinks.
They were busy, granted but it tarnished what would have been a really pleasurable experience otherwise.

Attended with my husband for his work Christmas managers meal. Friendly, attentive staff, delicious food, hot, fresh and generous portions. Wine is superb and fabulous that it is local. Dovecote is stunning inside. Thankyou we will be back to try your other menus

Attended a wedding last Saturday. Had a great day/night. The room, snug & dance floor areas were ideal, the hors d'ouvres, wedding breakfast & evening buffet were all delicious. All the staff were pleasant & helpful. We stayed in the hotel overnight & the room was top notch. The breakfast was great with a wide selection to suit everyone. A definite hit.

Loved the cosy and festive Rooster bar. Beef brisket sandwich with chips was ok but pricey 🥪
