In between a 3 and a 4 sadly felt a 4 was generous.

£7.45 for a sweet rose medium wine.

Steak was overcooked. Medium/well instead of medium rare
Steak and lamb weren't particularly seasoned.
Lamb was pretty bland.
My friends peri chicken main was pretty dry. Salad was nice mind.

It was okay but it could do with some tweeking.

Staff were polite.

Starters were nice, meatballs + chicken skewers were 5/5.

Food came pretty quick

Lovely open atmosphere, booth seating which makes social distancing easy, our waitress Jan was great and spoke Welsh (which is very important to me). She accommodated our off-menu request with no fuss. Food was delicious with plenty of lunchtime options on the menu. Service was excellent. Will be back.

The mussels were amazing, especially the creamy sauce!
My husband ordered chicken, it was spicy and it would be great to offer more slices of bread for such a dish.

The grill is very expensive. But went to lounge instead and had coffee and scone with jam and cream. The staff were excellent. Fast efficient polite. It was clean.
The coffee was of good flavour and hot. The scone was warm plenty of raisins light and fresh. Jam was in a little jar but plenty. Cream a slight disappointment but once out the packet and mixed up a bit was ok. Price reasonable. You were left alone and not pressured to leave even though it was quite busy. A relaxing atmosphere.

The meal was on the expensive side of restaurants in the town. 4 stars are for the mussels. It was creamy and fresh. The pork and mushrooms with rice was fair, I would give it a 3 star as the pork was slightly too hard. We also ordered the fish and chips. There wasn't much taste of the fish despite its big portion. At the end of the meal, we paid with cash and was expecting the change but in vain. I don't think the restaurant should automatically expect that the amount is a tip without the indication by the customer. With this, I would rather go for other restaurants than the three restaurants owned by the same hotel.

Very tasty food, attentive service, beautiful surroundings.
I think the place could do with some other choice of music to match the beautiful surroundings.
I really enjoyed it and would definitely come back!

Mari looked after our table.
Service was great and food was delicious!

After not seeing my dad in over a year, treating him to a Christmas dinner was just perfect.

Wasn't sure if we'd get a table anywhere, as it was strange time of day between lunch and dinner.

But we're happy to try your festive menu that was on offer.

And it was just lovely!

Thank you so much.
We'll definitely eat here again next to we travel up north to Betwys-y-Coed.

Diolch yn fawr i Mari hefyd.

The food was amazing. The lamb was delicious. My partner had steak and said it was mouth watering. The desert was perfect, bara brief bread, and butter pudding went down a treat. Nice, quite atmosphere i would recommend for couples and families
