Tasty African Restaurant

The visit at lunch time was worth the effort. The venue was clean and neat. It was empty as they had only just opened. The egusi soup, fried fish with pounded yam was not as fresh as I expected, but it was tasty. The meat pie and puff puff were scumcious....

I ordered the Goat Meat Stew and I found little black hairs all over the meat and in the sauce! I was almost sick ! If you look closely at the photos you will see the hairs!
It is such a shame because this dish used to be my favourite!

I've tried again and again to see if it was an off chance and the restaurant was just having a bad day. I have learnt feo the staff that this is not an African restaurant. Just opportunists and cultural appropriations using the recipes to deliver poor quality dishes. One order had i bone like it was delivering to a dog. Complained on 3 occasions. Never again.

*False advertising* and food is not nice at all far from it. I ordered jollof rice and chicken stew in actuality you’re getting soggy rice and under-seasoned chicken absolute waste of money.

The food was OK, the suya does not come with onions and tomatoes, the egusi is OK, not very flavourful. It wasn't bad but not gret either.

There was a hard lump in my pounded yam, it hadn't been mixed properly.

Though my experience was OK I wouldn't recommend or return

Very tasty and authentic African food at this Leyton London outlet. Price was very reasonable. Staffs are very customer focused. I have been back here several times, they are still good.

The food is alright nothing ground breaking... The service is much better than the last time

I always order pounded yam and efo riro on my off days, so nice man😋
