We had a beautiful walk around the woods. I've been looking all over for 2 years to see the Red Squirrels and I finally got my wish. Right near the seating area. It was amazing. So clean and tidy except for a local dropping his Orange skin in the car park, which absolutely disgusted us

Nice walks within woodland. Some 2 miles from Newborough Beach. There are red squirrels and woodpeckers in the forest

Handy free car park with access to Lon Las Cefni cycle trail although the ride itself is uninspiring also access to Newborough Beach through the forest BUT it is a LONG walk

A lovely place to visit if you just want to enjoy a woodland walk and get back to nature. The little car park is often full and the little road to it is a little bumpy but parking is free and there are disabled only parking bays too and some well maintained picnic tables and squirrel feeding boxes on the walk. My Wife and I took the red walk (the blue is quite small) which lasted about 75 minutes but some sections were a little muddy and one section had dog waste scattered in abundance which was disappointing as clean up after your dog notices were on display. We didn't see any red squirrels on our walk unfortunately but one friendly little robin was happy to pose for pictures in the branches and then at our feet and he seemed to follow us around which was quite charming. You can't beat natural peace and quiet with the smell of pines in the air to blow away the stress cobwebs of daily life.
