Beacon Hill Woods

Great place for a walk with the dog. Very dog friendly. Never too busy. Very lovely for all seasons for walking. Highly recommend. Do take towels and wellies.

Such a beautiful yet easy to access area of beechwood. A fungi enthusiasts dream!
Wild raspberries galore too!

Used to be such a lovely place to come but since the tree felling a few months ago it looks like a bomb has landed. So difficult to walk, constantly tripping over. Wouldn’t recommend anymore sadly. Looks a mess.

A very interesting wood and ideal for a quick countryside walk. Not large by any means, but worth the visit to see the bluebells and a bit of Bronze Age history
