I'm vegan. Me and my friend ordered the vegan meal but we both got meals with eggs, which I almost ate because I thought it's some kind of an egg replacement. My friend told me that it's probably a real egg.
I returned my plate but my friend didn't because he didn't care about it. I had to wait again for my correct order while my friends already got theirs and ate them.
At the end they didn't charge me for the dish that but that doesn't make things right. I don't mind paying even more money for my food, I just want it to be as I ordered, and especially not when it almost made me do something that's absolutely against my beliefs.
Now I can't trust this place that next time they won't give me non-vegan food when I order vegan food.
I advise vegan people not to take chances with this place.

Good coffee and well priced breakfast options. Enough tables that you can usually find a place to sit even in the morning rush.

Great vegan breakfast, but terrible soy lattes 😂
While their coffee skills are far from perfect, I truly enjoy eating at the Grocery Kitchen. The service is kind and quick, although sometimes inattentive or simply not present (they often go disappear from the cafe floor).
The vegan scrambled tofu is delightful and really nice veggie sausages too!
Great decor, nice ambiance. A great place to stop for a breakfast.

Very cute cafe with plants everywhere and good tea. You can buy food in the grocery store like cake or croissant and have it in the cafe.

Quite expensive : for 2 glasses of wine + cheese and charcuterie to share we paid £30 each and we choose the less expensive wines on the menu... But good quality

Very expensive. Cheapest small glass of wine is £7 or £8. Prices itself out of the market which is probably why it was so quiet on a Saturday night. Otherwise a really nice local place - just needs a couple of £5 choices.

Awful little place. In the middle of the day the staff is nowhere to be found. When she is eventually turned up she completely ignored me instead making herself a cup of tea. I asked for the menu and was half heartedly pointed to the board of vague “daily specials”. It’s a wine bar but I had to ask for the wine menu again at what point she reluctantly pulled out another little board. I ordered an orange wine that tasted and smelled awful. I very nicely asked to exchange it for a cheaper option but was flatly refused. “No”. No apologies or even acknowledgement that I had a bad experience. Go if you want to be ignored/ given attitude. Even if there are policies in place that prevent staff from extending courtesies to customers, dismissive unapologetic attitudes are not ok.
