This is the best wine shop in Oxford, purely because there's no competition, but have been in both the Oxford shops and found the service poor and unfriendly, likely I'll stick to using other online services..
Edit: Following this review, I spoke to a rep from OWC, while it cant change the past I feel confident that I was heard and respected.
I also felt particularly welcomed by the representative and therefore i have adjusted my star rating and feel confident that the issues raised will be addressed.

9 of us had a wine tasting experience with Emily. It was great! She was fun, knowledgeable and interesting. Everyone was very engaged and left feeling they'd had a special experience.

Perfect for the uninitiated and the experienced. There is a wine for every occasion and some truly amazing hidden gems for those willing to look.

I think the staff deserve the most praise. Always very happy to help and to guide, they are extremely knowledgable and approachable and will share their experiences with whichever wines you happen across. Couldn't rate it highly enough.

A delightful little wine, spirits and other tasty alcoholic beverage shop! Always a nice place to visit with friendly and knowledgeable staff, if you time it right they even do tastings!

Great selection of wines in this small but friendly store. It covers a range of price points and the wines offered are eclectic and interesting. It had some unusual wines from Greece and Austria, not too crazily priced Bourgogne and Rhone, exotic Italian, and much more. I chose a Montsant from Catalonia and an Austrian Zweigelt. Went in to town specifically to pick something up from here, and arrived 10 minutes before closing time on Sunday, which would have left me plenty of time to get what I needed, as I already had something in mind.

There was a "We're open" sign next to the door stuck to the window, but the door was locked. and when I knocked on the door, I got no answer despite seeing people moving around inside (presumably workers shutting the shop).

"Open until 4pm on Sundays" seems to mean: "Open until 3:45pm after which we lock the door and only let people out".

Kind of annoying since I spent 40 mins driving in, paying for parking, and then walking to the shop. I'm sure the shop is great, but customer service extends to the information you put out in to the public domain, as people will use this info to plan their trip to your shop. If you lock the door 15-20mins before you switch the lights off, then you should really update your opening times on Google and elsewhere to reflect that.
