Just the best place for a nice quiet drink. Like a proper old school pub can get amazing locally produced drinks and snacks both of which are full of flavour, is just the perfect place for a social drink and catch up. Had a amazing ipa full of flavour and a pork pie with pickle inside it

A wonderful oasis in a lovely area very close to Christchurch. A cosy, well appointed local, with excellently brewed beers and ciders. Didn't get the name of the very pleasant, knowledgeable and attractive young lady behind the bar but she is excellent, efficient and friendly.

The best beers in Christchurch! Brewed just up the road for this place, it's always a treat to taste something new. Anyone who like REAL BEER AND ALE should get down here and check it out. Cracking place

Went to Drop the Anchor in Tuckton yesterday: terrible! I’m well disappointed
Only one cider (Thatchers) no real cider and after asking the bar staff: the cider guy isn’t doing any at the moment! It’s October so it’s full on harvesting... 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
Then ordered a lager as they had Warsteiner - 😷🤢🤮🤢 it was warm and flat! Bar staff wasn’t bothered about it at all!
Covid rules?!?! What covid rules 😩😫😩
Unisex toilet and no rota to see whether they have been cleaned
We all know that our males species aren’t able to aim at the target after a few alcoholic beverages!!! Again didn’t see the bar staff going to clean or even check the toilet ones!!! It’s a no from us this time!!!

The ales on offer at this bar are second to none. The dark beers are the finest I have had. These people know how to brew.

Went there with the Harriers great laugh. Caak and craft ales all the way from Lymington I'm told!

What a great find, it has more seating than expected from the outside.
Great local brewery, the Tuckonia was a great tasting beer.
Friendly staff in Vicky with a few regulars.
Closes at 10pm which is shame but understandable.
