The place is an absolute oven! It’s tiny but that adds to the fun of the place when there’s a great band on. It’s pretty easy to get to as it has an overground station and plenty of busses near by. Clapton pond is across the road and a great place to hang out.

Saddens me to have to write this (1st bad review I'm ever writing for anyone in fact) but was left appalled by this venue tonight, and I hope this will be a one-off that won't repeat itself to future punters including myself.
So the FB event page for a gig does not show the band times nor at least the 1st band's kickoff. As I had a prepaid ticket for another earlier gig elsewhere and after having attempted to ask (without reply) on the FB event, I msged them via Google chat, making them aware I was leaving a gig I had prepaid just to attend theirs. I was informed the 1st band starts 815pm and I arrive right on the dot BUT security asks for my ticket. I point out I was willing to pay, but he said I should get a free ticket online. So I ask him to give me the link but he does not have it, so I ask to radio staff inside but he has no facility to. So I chat again with staff via Google, who send me a msg to show to security to let us in. I point to management I am disappointed I lost 15mins of a 30min show, and all they could say is to enjoy the show, and that they advertise on insta not FB, so I went to insta and even there they do not mention that the event was ticketed albeit free. Running in circles?
So I asked for a complimentary drink (nice to have been offered without asking) and at this point the management stopped answering. Really? :)
And that was the last string that pushed me towards the edge to sadly write this review.
I hope they take this as constructive criticism! But I doubt they will as later after the show, the manageress came out to the security and slyly asked him to point her who we were. But I am slyer as I noticed even though they cheekily went back in! What a farce :)

Really friendly atmosphere. The live music lulled me inside in a trance. Great stuff!

Love Blondies as a queer presenting human! They are LGBTQIA+ welcoming and it’s one of the only bars in London I feel truly safe. The bar staff care and are nice.

nice decor but don’t go if ur queer presenting. staff gave us weird looks the whole time we were there. they took away our darts bc we couldn’t play it well enough apparently (my friend dropped one on the floor what a crime). we left very soon after because we didn’t feel comfortable or welcome even though we just came in and paid for our drinks

Fantastic dive bar, had a lot of fun here on NYE. Only issue was one of the bartender's was too drunk to even pour straight. Messed up our drinks a couple of times and overcharged us.

A rocker venue, with great cocktails. The staff are fun and lively and the service good. Beers and wine are also served.
