Tavla Shoreditch

This is a new bar from brand new hotel by Hilton group called Hart Shoreditch.
Amazing design, lovely furnitures and nice cocktails. I also would recommend you to try the restaurant on the opposite side, so tasty!
At the moment it’s not so busy since they opened recently, so it’s the best spot if you wanna enjoy a nice chat far from loud environments. Busier on the weekends, intimate during the week.

This is a bit of a hidden gem. Don’t be fooled by the initial ‘hotel bar’ you might get when you walk in. This place is a class act with exceptional bar staff. We intended to stay for 1-2 drinks but we stayed until closing time. Patrick served us and he’s the definition of what good service should be, knew his stuff, understood his cocktails and very attentive. He knocked up a rum old fashioned and it was the best one I’ve ever had. If you want a cool, relaxed vibe to have some very tasty cocktails you can’t go wrong here

Been here 3 times, every time a great experience. Amazing cocktails, very friendly staff, and beautiful bar. But the +++ is the music, very nice vibe!

Fan of Backgammon myself I choose this place to play some games.
Reality was far from the description. It remains a bar in a hotel lobby with overpriced drinks and not so nice flair. The music is annoyingly repetitive.
We had a classic Gin & Tonic which was served in a very standard water glass with too many ice cubes. And this for £12.
The backgammon boards were nothing special, cheap plastic stones and round edged dices which makes playing really annoying.
Wouldn’t go there again and also not recommend it.

Every year the gap between Christmas & New Year's eve, always gets me into a muddle. It's like I suffer from "festive-amnesia" and I can't retain the days of the week or the time of day; which meant my friend and I popped into Tavla for a Monday or a Wednesday or a Friday evening aperitif.
(I think it was Monday 😉)

This hotel/bar/restaurant/games (you can play Tavla - which is the Turkish name for backgammon) venue has a relaxed vibe, lovely decor and great ambient lighting.
The bar staff that served us was polite, attentive and made us both a very mean drink.

We will be back to explore this place a little more on another visit!

Lovely place to relax and have a tipple. Great cocktails and good selection of beers on tap.

Lovely. We just had drinks in the lobby, they didn't seem to mind that we'd just come in for drinks. We had one of their signature cocktails which was wonderful. The server was amazing, keen and helpful.
