Pope Street Bar & Kitchen

It’s very nice place to have a nice cocktails 🍸 but tbh a bit expensive for that location. I’m still gonna rate it 5 stars because we really liked it.

Great pub with a very good menu and enticing specials board. Pub quizzes and bingo on a Thursday night tell the good character of this bar. There are beers and gins to keep even the pickiest drinkers happy. This is a true gem in the area and New Eltham is lucky to have it!

I found this pub while working in the area. It had a good atmosphere and all the staff I met were nice, polite and friendly. I sampled some of their dishes off the "small plates" selection, and very nice they were too. I had the King Prawn & Chorizo skewers, Lamb Koftas and fries with hummus and a spicy topping. All were cooked fresh to order, hot and very tasty. Try it, you might just like it, I did 👍

Great local venue. Draught Beer, fantastic cocktails, great food and an amazing Sunday Roast. Well worth a visit.

This venue had a very good ambience and atmosphere, a well temperature controlled environment, with live musicians singing and playing a guitar. Not sure if this happens all the time as our group visited on a Friday evening. The food was well prepared with good flavour, except from the calamari which wasn't prepared properly before cooking. This was fed back to the staff who provided a refund. Venue has a half price cocktail time which is great, they also do table service as well as the option to go and order directly at the bar. We had pre-booked a table and was kindly allowed to use this an hour before we booked it which was great.
Overall we had a really enjoyable time and thought the customer service was great. At no point did we struggle to find a waiter/waitress to place an order, they were always on hand, patient and very helpful.

Short but good choice of meals to choose from, what you see is what you get and although short list to choose from, there were plenty of options for me to look at that appealed

Fantastic taste, fresh and you can tell right away from the aroma as it hits your sense of smell right down to the taste

And the waiting staff were cracking, so friendly and up for a laugh!! Easy to talk to!! 😁😁😁😁😁🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Food was nice enough. Booking easy. Correspondence good. Service was poor we were ignored for a good hour. Because it was happy hour they were slow, maybe not enough staff ?, cocktails were too bad, Drinks took ages and the food took ages to come out we waited an hour or so for dessert after asking twice for it. The place wasn’t packed out so no excuse really. Then they wanted service charge on top of the bill which we asked to scrap as I’d already paid £17 on top of my Xmas dinner order!!! That was service charge. And the service wasn’t great with some staff. Not all.
So that was a let down the waiting time.
The entertainment was great it was Mercedes singing some great songs. Good job she was there to keep us in the place.

it's a small pub and restaurant in the city of New Eltham, nice staff, good food and I would say great cocktails, very nice environment. even though it's outside central london, the place is busy because there's not much around
