The Blue Anchor

The Cheers of Kent country pubs. Brilliant, warm, chatty staff. An amazing selection of pub grub. There is an attention to detail wrt the humorous decor beyond anything I’ve experienced before or since.
Food wise, the competition in Kent is too fierce to recommend the Blue Anchor.

Very spacious terrace. Nice to dine outside when the weather is nice. Highly recommend!

I have fond memories of drinking here with my brother and Dad having grown up in the area and always thought of it as a good local boozer. The restaurant at the back of the pub is light and comfortable, overlooking a wooden decking area and orchard garden while the inside of the pub is cosy with open fires. I had a lunchtime meal here and was surprised at such a varied and inspired menu and the chef was more than willing to adapt any meal to be gluten free for my coeliac Mother. The food was delicious and of an incredibly high standard and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. I would absolutely eat here again without a doubt.

A local pub run by very welcoming and friendly people. I had an excellent roast, complemented by a morish crumble as dessert. Also excellent selection of real ales on draft!

A very lively establishment. The staff are very efficient and polite. Parking could be a problem and walking through all the smokers hanging around the entrance is not nice. Also children trying there parents alcoholic drinks and being rather loud.

Had a great time at the blue Anchor the meal was fantastic and the staff were brilliant i would highly recommend it seeing as it was the first time we had been there hope to be back very soon

Brilliant place to eat , cosy atmosphere and excellent food . Reasonably priced and the staff make it what it was a great experience .
