I will never eat in Yates again.
The food was undercooked and cold and the staff were useless.
You'd have better look getting blood from a stone then getting any kind of decent response from the staff about the poor, shocking service and food provided.

As for the baby's high chairs, they are in an appauling state.
How can anyone be comfortable with putting there child in such a dirty high chair where they are supposed to eat.

The place looks OK! But smells like party, puke and urine.
Ate a Thai lentil pie. So good!
Nice offers and friendly staff.

Now that it has been refurbished and gas changed its name to the slug and lettuce what a difference!!!! The place is beautiful so refreshing. The seating areas now are so much better organized and clean lines. The bar is very well stocked and brighter. The food was lovely. Very impressed indeed. Good luck Jack and Abby you do a fantastic job keep up the great work XXX😁😁😁

Name has changed, found the drinks way overpriced compared to when it was formally Yates. The decor is nice inside but feel like they're trying to cater to a different type of person. Not really for me anymore.

This is now Slug n Lettuce which was a great atmosphere albeit very bust but that was because it only opened that weekend. Great selection for cocktails and drinks. This is a large place so should get seating when eating but may be different on a Friday or Saturday night. But definitely worth a visit.

Was hoping for a lovely meal with friends. But was totally disappointed. One of the meals wasn't to bad . I my self had a double cheese burger with fries, both of them small and cold. My partner had a steak and ale slice. Child size portion and cold was not happy. Won't be going again.

I’ve managed to get to my grand old age without ever visiting a Yates - we came here as a last resort as everywhere else was too busy, but it was ok. The cocktails were reasonably priced and really good (recommend the purple rain!). However, the toilets really need sorting out (ladies). I went into four different cubicles before I found one that locked - the toilets also had a sign to say they were checked every hour, but from the state they were in, that’s definitely not true.

Overall a decent experience, but please please do something about the locks!!

Not family friendly in the slightest. Food was very dry. Has it been kept warm for a long period of time. Or under heat lamps. Had less than a hour to order and eat. As we were told we would have to leave by 7pm and we didn't get there until after 6pm.

Wish we had gone somewhere else. And not be rushed.
