Highly recommend this place, friendly staff, reasonable prices and comfortable decor/seating. Great to see this old building being used so well.

We popped in for a pint a few weeks ago, it's now our favourite place in Stafford to go, we held our wedding reception here as well we love it that much, the staff and management are so incredible, so welcoming and helpful, the building itself is full of interesting history as well, can't thank you all enough for the great time we have everytime we visit.

This is mine and my wife's favourite bar, staff are amazing! Its an historic building and has a hotel too!
They play very cool music and have very comfy sofas, in front of real fires ❤️
We had our after wedding party here and it was amazing!! LOVE THIS PUB ❤️

Called in on Saturday night, place seems OK but the Moretti beer was completely awful. Tried a second one and that was worse - like dishwater.

Sad to see the cost of living has forced this venue to close again. I hope it can find new owners quickly and isn't left vacant for years on end, as it's a nice little venue.

Great to see this venue open again. Good pool table area secluded area. Shame TV doesn't have more speakers for better sound, but all in all a great pub close to town in a quieter area. So better for the not so excited.

I am unsure as to why the reviews for this hotel are so low. For a budget hotel, this by far one of the best experiences I have had and I would go as far as to say that it has topped my experience from far more expensive hotels. I would absolutely recommend.

It is a budget hotel so if you are expecting the Ritz than unfortunately you will be disappointed. Having read some of the reviews for this hotel I am going to assume that other visitors were expecting 'gold for the price of tin', an unrealistic expectation.

For the price I paid for my room I can honestly say that I would be more than happy to visit again. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location was perfect for my visit to Stafford and was located within a 2 minute walk in either direction to the locals shops, parks and railway station. The staff were amazing and the manager was extremely welcoming. My room was clean and tidy, the bedding was fresh, clean and smelt amazing. My bed was comfy, and I had the best nights sleep in a along time. The room was perfect with plenty of storage. The shower room was a little small but fulfilled its purpose and met my needs. I have stayed in many hotels where simple things such as a working TV and coffee/Tea are not available, the manager of the hotel has clearly tried to cater for all needs and requirements for her guests and for the price I don't think I can fault her and her team. Plenty of choice at breakfast with a selection of tea, coffee, cereal, porridge as well as a cooked breakfast option.

Overall, I would rate my stay as 'exceeded expectations' and I would be happy to stay again and recommend this hotel. The added bonus is that all guest receive a 10% discount at the Judge and Jury bar which is attached to the hotel, so win win if you ask me.
