We were the walking in the area and decided to stop by for a Sunday roast. It was getting near last orders for food so we phoned ahead. No problem, they said! My partner had a roast chicken dinner, I had the beef. Both were superb in every way. Excellent , fresh veg, cooked to perfection, the beef was beautifully cooked, not too pink and lovely and moist. Not a scrap of fat in sight. The Yorkshire pud was the best and the gravy was delicious and plentiful. I had a couple of pints of local ale. Well kept and well served. 10 out of 10. Will be back!

Great food breaded brie first class however the garlic mushrooms were not. Appears to have had too much lemon plus mushrooms were unpleasant in taste. We informed the young girl waitress yet nothing came of it. Drinks and service were ideal behind the bar.

Service shocking food late no cutlery with when food came it was hard ya needed a hammer and chisel to break it . Another meal offered but be time it came we were paying the bill for my meal and off. Blamed on new staff.

Beautiful friendly Family Pub - I absolutely love it here; rooms are fantastic, clean, cosy and comfy, fitted out tastefully.
•Menu and Food Quality is superb• I chose the best-ever hearty homemade beef pie with mash and vegetables which was so tasty; full of big chunks of tender beef in a richly flavoured thick gravy, the veggies were cooked perfectly al denté and bright. The team here done themselves proud. Thanks.

I booked an overnight stay whilst on business and found the price to be around the same as staying in a soulless hotel chain. The room was compact but beautifully presented and immaculately clean.
We had a couple of beers in the garden where there was a lovely atmosphere and later enjoyed a super meal inside. We chose the steak night special and the quality, presentation and price were all excellent.
During a time when we understand that staffing is a real issue for the hospitality sector, it was so refreshing to receive efficient, polite and knowledgable service.
