Jack Murphys

Pool tables are poorly kept. One we played on was missing a cue ball, but they did give our quid back to use another table. Cues are OK, but all the chalk has been taken and there's none behind the bar. Arcade machines look cool though - but going in for pool is definitely lacklustre.

After waiting an eternity for two portions of chips, a sausage in batter and a minuscule pot of gravy, we opened up and tried to eat the nice looking food - sadly the chips were virtually raw throughout, had a taste that can only be compared to chewing cardboard and the sausage in batter was cold (less than 10 minutes between receipt of food and sitting to eat at home) - total disappointment and definitely will not return! Ended up getting a McDonald’s instead.

Banging fish! Try the chicken nuggets with the curry sauce. Amazing cocktails and the barmaid Sarah is amazing. She so friendly and sociable

Be very careful in this place because the bouncer with the beard deals with problems by taking grabbing and dragging people outside to an area where there are no cameras and beating them up from behind. Absolutely disgusting and bullying. No innocent till proven guilty and no rules or regulations it seems on how bouncers deal with problems and people. Sadly the police wouldn’t get involved.

Bar staff and door staff have no clue what they're doing! Train your staff to the new world. No communication skills, personal behaviour skills of the door staff non existent. Please dispense disabled badges on recruitment to staff as it very well shows

Lovely products. However have emailed twice with an enquiry and still had no response. No contact phone number makes it more frustrating. Please answer me Jack Murphys - you're missing a sale!

I'd like to add my comments on this page and explain that from a door security point of view.

Some of the comments I have read here are wrong and not a reflection of the security team that works here.

As I am Head of security in this venue I can assure everyone that no thuggish behavior is tolerated and brief my team on such behavior and will be dismissed or moved on if I witness that behavior as I have zero tolerance for it.

From the moment you enter the venue, you are greeted by myself and my team with a welcome, and my team will say good night as you leave the venue.

I like the public/customers to feel safe and have a fantastic night.

Unfortunately, the new Jack Murphy's has mixed reviews that have come under the new jack Murphys which have painted it In a bad light.

A typical bar with a club underneath. Bouncers here seem much friendlier than other nightclubs, but the bartenders were so slow, we waited 15 minutes to get a drink and in the end didn't get served.
