Best pub in Newport, Amazing manager and friendly staff, I left my backpack one night it was hung up front of the bar the next day sage and sound, cool biker vibes and live bands regularly in the pit. 10/10

Such an awesome place. Lovely people both as customers and bar staff. I've had amazing nights there. Great bands and great atmosphere. Also they have a great range of alcohol and beers 😎

I don't get to Newport often but whenever I do this is a must visit for me. Great rock music, decenty priced pints, good range of beers/ciders on tap, sick outdoor seating area. Love it

Friendly staff and a decent selection of beer. Good atmosphere, hints to the old Hornblower. Excellent jukebox.

Great little place for a night out with a juke box and occasionally a live band

I love this place and always go here for a few when I visit Newport, really nice staff and friendly interesting customers. And a wide range and variety of drinks.
I do miss the benches and dark lighting the used to be in the back near the pool table though, but anyway still a great bar and don't hesitate to visit if you want to have an enjoyable time!

Sam, the barman and another female bartender. Both helped to make our visit a fabulous experience. I have never been into this place before, but we went to watch the rugby. It wasn't rammed and it was easy to go to the bar and the toilets without fighting through crowds of people.
