We should visit here more often. The Black Sheep ale I had was perfect. Our meal order was taken quickly and the serving staff polite and friendly. Food arrived in good time, was hot and tasty. Parking was straight forward too. Some beautiful views from the conservatory sitting area. Lots of local animal life to see too. We needed a high chair for our little dude and it was in place ready at our table when we arrived. Prices sensible for the quality and amount of food brought to table. We'll be returning soon.

Typical country pub in a small hamlet so food has to be good. Well worth a visit, especially on a sunny day.

A quaint village pub feel, with great beer. Didn't eat here but the food looked great so I would give it a go.

We were on our way to a parking spot in our campervan but we were stuck in thick fog and dark. We called into the Bolton Arms on the off chance to ask the owner if it would be ok to stay in her carpark for the night to avoid the dangerous driving conditions , she very kindly said yes. We had a couple of beers but didn't stay for food but it all looked and smelt delicious. Thank you for your kindness it meant a lot.

Lovely locals pub inside, beer was good, but what let the place down for us was that it WASN'T dog-friendly (as advised on Google reviews). There's a big sign in the door stating exactly that and we asked staff to confirm.
Visited on a cold and rainy afternoon after a long walk to expecting to enjoy a nice cosy pint inside to warm our cockles, ended up staying for exactly one pint's time, in the beer garden - and we would have been there longer had we been able to bring the dogs in.
Funnily enough, as we were leaving, another group with a very big dog were entering the bar, and nothing was mentioned to them about it having to stay outside. Don't bother visiting with a dog unless you want to sit outside.

Stayed at a lodge in the local area and this place was highly recommended for Sunday lunch. Suffice to say we were definitely not disappointed! The meat was "melt in the mouth", vegetables cooked to perfection and the desserts were homemade and mouthwatering. Quality, cosy little village pub and we will be sure to return should we find ourselves here on holiday again in the future. 🥳
