Because it is very much better than it used to be. It was always a beautiful pub, but the decor does not give quality. The management do. Feel safe here now.

I think its more of a sports pub,but ive heard the food is great.

Nice pub in the centre ,good atmosphere and good prices , had the horse racing on ,plus the grand Prix . Very welcoming good vfm 🍺🍺

Really good welcome. We were up for a few days in Thirsk. So watched the footie and had a few drinks. Great atmosphere.

Very small, toilets are tacky, shame you need cameras in toilets now. Defo could do with a renovation to spruce it up. Just looks the same since changed from darrowby to bear.

We were there for the races at Thirsk, so it was quite packed but still the service was good and we enjoyed are time there, albeit a short one.
