Dover Castle Inn

A lovely cozy place. Staff are really friendly and inviting. She made made sure she was aware we was waiting while pulling pints. The pub itself is well looked after with facilities very clean and tidy. Nice ambiance within.
There is a climbing frame for the little ones with a well manicured beer garden

A really great pub. It's on the main road in Teynham (plenty of parking at the back). Go there for the food - but best to book a table. The moules mariniere is the best you'll find this side of the channel - and identical to what you'd get in Belgium or France. Highly recommended.

Amazing food reasonably priced and lovely atmosphere.

Lovely Kent pub. Visited for my mum's birthday and as a large group with kids they were able to accommodate us.

Highlight has to be the food which is great. Photo is of my burger, but as a group we ordered several menu items and all were amazing. Note, portions are huge!

Would rate five but two things let them down and arguably 3 stars might be appropriate but the food saved them. First issue was slow service. We were early by 45 mins and they kindly accommodated our large group, but our food came 45 mins after our original booking, 1.5 hours after seating and 75 mins after order. That felt excessive and we also then had to chase condiments and a bread portion which was part of one of the orders

Second issue was as a Shepherd Neame pub I'd expect more than just two beers on tap. At the very least a few bottle varieties if not another pump or two.

Stopped here for Sunday lunch when passing through. They managed to fit 6 of us in without a booking (said we only had an hour as the table was reserved which was absolutely fine with us-hate waiting about anyway)
5 of us had different meals and they were ALL outstanding and delicious!! The staff were very welcoming and friendly also. This is somewhere we will definitely go to again.

A varied and well prepared menu. Great staff, very friendly. The Dover Castle has hit the ground running after the Lockdown.

Enjoyed Xmas Dinner there

Food was very tasty and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed with good music playing in the background. We were there on a Monday afternoon and it was pretty quiet but still very enjoyable.

Update.
Been back a few times since this original review and the food and sevice has always been excellent.

If you haven't been before then book a table for a meal you won't regret it.
