Hadn't been for quite a while but called in today and enjoyed our drinks there - pleasant, relaxing, warm, clean and friendly - very reasonable prices and a decent pint (from new barrel). Well worth the visit so will be back again.

Always a friendly welcome, Dave and Jayne are fantastic hosts. Lovely fresh fish and chips Thursday & Friday, great burgers too, all at sensible prices. No sticky tables here, everything kept clean at all times. Good beer, good jukebox, well worth a visit

Used to love this pub, used to drink here from the age of 18, seen lots of landlords come and go, don't get to go out often but decided to go in for a drink today and were told as we had been in the Bull Inn first we weren't welcome... most Bizarre!

Very much a locals local, part of a terrace. Visited because of its Cask Marque accreditation.

The ale was excellent - to be expected as this establishment is one of only eight thousand odd that is on the Cask Marque Ale Trail. This accolade is not easily won, needing two unannounced inspections to test all the ales on sale for taste, clarity, temperature and smell.

A distinctive plaque is given to display outside the door and and a certificate awarded where those who only want to drink in establishment's where they know the Ale will be perfect, can register their visit.

This is a good scheme and directs Ale appreciators to those venues they otherwise would pass by - and be the poorer of experience because of it. And such is the case with The Dolphin Inn. Unprepossessing from the outside, along entering the visitor will behold a vibrant atmosphere, where men were meeting friends and women could walk in alone with confidence. A proper local pub - and the beer is good

Popped in quickly to kill 45 mins before we went to a kids birthday party. The welcome was really friendly from the locals and the barmaid. Very clean and good service. 😊
