A hidden gem of Hertfordshire. I could go on about how great the allergen-awareness is and how well-labelled the menu is for gluten free and dairy free, as well as the separate vegetarian and vegan menu. But that wouldn't matter a bit if the food wasn't delicious, which it absolutely is. The staff, service, and whole environment are great too. Always happy to make the journey for another visit.

We rang up last Sunday on the off chance they had a table and luckily for us they did. Staff were all very friendly and didn't bat an eyelid at us bringing our three young kids for dinner (8,4 and 9 months) we played in the lovely outdoor play area until the roast was ready. I had a nut roast which was delicious and the rest of them had a lamb roast which they said was lovely. The sides were fantastic, creamed spinach was a personal favourite of mine. We didn't have dessert as the baby was starting to kick off but we will definitely come back. The only negative in the whole meal was the Yorkshires were a tad dry but everything makes up for it.

Lovely food, every one of our group enjoyed their meal. I am not local but if I was to visit again I would probably share a garlic bread. The chocolate brownie was just enough to complete my meal without being too much.

Nice pub here in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere. And they had zero alcohol Lager on tap which I haven't seen before. Massive beer garden and seating outside. I didn't eat but the food looked good!

Beautiful pub with lovely staff! The food was really good too, home made and very tasty! From the dready in the van! (P.S they let me stay in the car park and were very accommodating)

This pub is not nice. This pub is simply amazing. They serve the best steak sandwich in the universe. Service is always friendly. The food is delicious. The wine selection is top notch. I love the UK pub culture. And this gastro-pub does certainly one of my favourites. Simply delightful!

We were a table of five with 3 coeliacs. Restaurant has an extensive GF menu and allergies are clearly taken seriously. Food & service were fantastic and the real ale and Guiness were on point. We all agreed the Golden Fleece was a great find. In the words of the Terminator “I’ll be back!”
