Very good food. Service was slow as most of the girls clearly not trained so didn't seem to know what they should be doing and we had to ask if we wanted anything. We weren't in any hurry so it didn't matter. Overall a good experience and will certainly return.

I have heard great things about this pub, and I ended up being a little underwhelmed. I had fish and chips and my fish was broken in two and nothing special. The service was slow, maybe they just didn't have enough staff as the waitress was nice.
The desserts were great, I had the crumble and it was lovely.
The whole meal cost £130 and I don't think it was great value, just due to the main meals being very average.

Went to the ship for a mum and daughter date after hearing it had re opened. On arrival we were not disappointed. Wow!! The place is stunning. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress who served us the while time we were there. The food was delicious, reasonably priced and very well presented. There is a huge beer garden to the the rear with plenty of seating and also seats outside the front. We also noticed dogs are welcome inside and out so also a bonus if you want to take your pet along. We will definately be back.

We booked a table, had to wait for our table- 2 members of staff serving, and they were run off their feet. Service was slow waited over 20 minutes to have our drinks order taken and was over an hour before we got our food served. Someone please apply for the serving staff advert outside! The food was nice when it came. Some simpler food choices would have been good.

Food was nice however, portion sizes weren’t great.

I had prawn linguine and had a huge bowl of pasta with only 4 prawns.

My partner had lamb rump, on a bed of veg (well raw spring onions) he only had 3 small pieces of lamb.

If you look on social media, their dishes have twice the portion of meat and the manager said that basically just for advertising…Clearly false advertising.

We received the bill for the full price despite our complaint, we challenged this and he knocked off our starters.

Leaving hungry and definitely won’t be returning unfortunately!

Really good local pub well worth travelling to. Great garden seating, undercover and open-air. Inside, seating and ambience all good. Staff are friendly and helpful, and there's an excellent drinks range, especially on draught. Only reason for 4 not 5* is that we haven't eaten there yet!

Nice looking place, but so many issues when I visited... We sat at a table that was quite wet, not dirty, but we needed to use tissues. The starters were good, I liked the ravioli, the smoked salmon was a generous portion. The mains though were disappointing. The lamb ribs were substituted with some kind of fillet - I had assumed the substitution would be to a similarly tender cut, but it was very hard to cut and chew. The salmon substitution for the trout also was not great (seemed it was frozen). My sweet potato fries did not feel fresh and were served with what seemed like salt, pepper and vinegar - or something similar that did not go at all with sweet potato fries. To top it up, the server spilled beer on my backpack and was not very apologetic, she sort of laughed it off with a "sorry". There is some potential, but many things off to leave a better rating.

Frozen roast potatoes, frozen Yorkshire pudding, frozen parsnips undercooked, cauliflower cheese was frozen with what looked like cheesy water over, chicken completely dry, just the breast even though thigh and ‘crackling’ advertised, no bread sauce as advertised. Broccoli raw - carrots were lovely though! Chips just cheap oven chips - when you’re paying £15 for fish and chips you don’t expect a full bag of 80p oven chips on the plate.
On the way out noticed another table had normal roast potatoes so it turns out it’s pot luck. Manager was disinterested and stern - I told the poor waiting staff their managers attitude absolutely stinks. The manager heard me complaining and ran off into the back.
This used to be such a lovely place that’s now being run into the ground with bad quality food and bad attitude from the manager. The girl serving told me it’s embarrassing working there now and it has ‘changed a lot’. Says it all! Also overheard other customers complaining and were told ‘well you’ve eaten half of it’.
Charging nearly £20 for such low quality rubbish. Won’t be returning and will suggest to friends they should avoid this place now.
