The Broughton Inn

The staff was wonderful and were great to get us in even without a reservation. The decor was great and felt very rustic and enjoyable. The wait staff was wonderful and a pleasure to work with. The food was good, especially the dessert. The signature burger was one of the best ones I've had here in England and of you are staying in the area as well worth your time.

The service was really good and staff very friendly and helpful. The food was well cooked and really tasty, the portion size just let it down slightly. Defiantly worth giving it a try.

Very attractive interior with stylish wooden floors and wall architecture. Cosy ambiance created by subtle lighting. Warm inside with the odd open fireplace here and there. Some of the upholstered chairs could do with some work as uncomfortable for people with mobility issues.
Large Sunday roast dinners better than the average pub roast including the Toby Carvery! Fish, meat, veg and vegan options on the menu. Not cheap though quality never comes cheap.
The restaurant area is through the bar area and can host large groups. Smaller tables in the bar area just as nice.
Staff are attentive and welcoming.
The toilets are nicely presented, the ladies had a very nice aroma on entering!
We had the soup of the day, vegan veg with lightly toasted sourdough bread with triple-cooked chips on the side. The meat burger was reported as very good came with triple-cooked chips.
Recommended we will come back.
Perhaps you could remove the outside furnishings from the 2nd if only two blue badge spaces?
Outside seating needs some TLC.

Service was friendly enough and pleasant atmosphere. My only issue was with the food. It took a while to come out and was waiting like half an hour for chips to come out. In the end, just ended up cancelling the chips, as my wife finished her meal. Waitress said the burger had cheese in, when clearly there was no cheese in there. For what I ordered, wouldn’t say it was worth the money. Next time I’ll stay in and cook my own burger and chips.

Ambiance and character were conducive to a relaxing family celebration. Staff were courteous, attentive and very helpful. The menu was varied and the food was delicious - beautifully cooked and well presented. Sadly we weren't aware of the 50% off main courses option before our visit so didn't benefit from that but we've downloaded the app so we will be prepared next time. And there will be a next time.

To say you went above and beyond throughout the whole planning process and on the day is an understatement, helping set up every detail (just how I asked 😅)
Although you had never hosted a wedding before I am confident I speak for each of our guests in saying you wouldn’t have known! You were all honestly amazing and made our day! Everyone complimented the service, both the main meal and evening food which was delicious and good hearty autumn food just as we wanted 🍁🍂 the venue looked beautiful and fit my autumn theme perfectly with the oak beams and oldy worldy feel 🥰
We will be forever grateful to you ~ not only did my husband & I meet at Broughton Inn, we also got engaged there and now, thanks to you, we can say we spent our wedding day there too! We can’t wait to visit our padlock table soon ❤️💍🔒

Atmosphere and seating area is very nice and comfortable. Food was excellent and staff on hand to easily make requests.

Staff need to be a little more aware of dietary requirements; we had 2 crumble desserts; one with vegan custard the other normal. Waitress served and we had to ask which was the vegan, the one we were told was infact the normal. Luckily for us its just a personal choice, had this been due to allergies it could have been dangerous. A little more awareness and training needed on the importance of dietary needs.

I can’t recommend The Broughton Inn enough; we went to a wedding there in October and it was nothing short of magical. The ambience and service was second to none, thanks so much to Tom and the team for helping to make my sister’s and brother-in-laws day absolutely incredible. P.S. We can’t wait to go back and have some more of the amazing food!
