I stayed here overnight for work whilst visiting nearby. The room was clean, spacious, with a super comfy bed and cooling air conditioning. I had both an evening meal and breakfast in the downstairs restaurant, which I couldn’t fault. Both meals were delicious. The service throughout my stay was superb and attentive. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay overnight, or to locals who want a good place to go for a drink and a meal. 10/10.

Visited recently and was very impressed with the friendly welcome and excellent service we received. The meal was lovely and a generous portion too, with everyone at the table happy with their meal. The waiter serving our table couldn't have been more helpful and professional - thanks David. Would definitely visit again and cannot recommend The Chequers Inn enough.

Wonderful Sunday lunch and great atmosphere. Kayla looked after us and made sure we had everything we needed. The roast potatoes were delicious and would highly recommend the roast beef complete with a giant Yorkshire pudding! Perfect

Fresh modern upgraded pub. Certainly a dramatic uplift to what it was before. Very welcoming.
Bar area to one side and the restaurant to the other. Really lovely outside space for summer time or winter time if you're not bothered by the cold.
Varied menu, not hugely expensive but not cheap either, the food is presented and prepared well. I enjoyed a classic burger which was very filling.

We went as a family with friends to listen to the music being played on Friday evening. We had a lovely evening. Pub clean, bright and welcoming. Staff helpful after an incident by a group of people who can't manage their alcohol and needed to be removed.

A welcoming pub with both restaurant and bar service. Food is very good, chips are brilliant, but slightly above average prices I would say. Nicely decorated and friendly staff. Will visit again.
