My first visit for lunch with a friend at The Lamb did not disappoint, the food and hospitality were superb. My delicious bowl of steaming mussels and a cheeky lunch time exquisite cocktail were just some of the highlights. The new owners have created a relaxed ambiance and friendly but professional service. A varied range of drink and menu options from this wonderful atmospheric gastro pub / bar, I definitely will be back.

Great night at The Lamb for a work gathering. Portions were a little on the smaller side so make sure you allow for this when ordering but the food itself was really nice. Would recommend the Hummus, Dirty Fries and Chocolate Brownie. The Duck Croquettes were just lacking a nice sauce to complement. All round a good experience and staff were nice and polite

Service at The Lamb was very slow and courses of our meal were forgotten.
We also had a gift voucher, for which the member of staff then departed with my Galaxy S22 phone, with the voucher code on it. Naturally this was concerning, so i had to then track my phone down.
On raising all this with the manageress, and having received no proactive consideration or apology to that point, she unfortunately thought it was acceptable to raise her voice to me in front of other customers, whilst also consistently glancing across at another member of staff and smiling.
All in all completely uncalled for from the manageress and compounded a singularly unpleasant experience, at The Lamb

I cannot put in words how good the food was at The Lamb. You'll have to go and try it. I want to move to Berkhamsted so I can try all the seasonal menus... 100% recommend!

Fantastic pub come gastro dining experience. In the summer, the garden is a cute little courtyard but it actually curls up and back around the top of the pub so go a little further if you have trouble finding a seat. A bar / small drinking area can host you for a cocktail, glass of wine or pint. The other half of the pub is reserved for dining and bookings.
You are greeted and sat on entry and the menu is a good size but a little on the expensive side. I have to say it’s worth it though as the quality of the food is great.
One of the best places to go for grub in Berkhamsted expect quality produce and mixologist style cocktails. The Sunday roasts look immense but yet to try. I think they have now switched to more of a tapas style menu which we are yet to experience but I hope it is as good as before!

Pop down on occasions, normally a week night. Even over christmas, whilst it was busy inside with people enjoying themselves in groups. There was plenty of space outside to enjoy a quiet couple of Guinness with a friend on the nice decking and handy roof/shelter over the tables. Staff super friendly. All very efficient in that sense. I guess it was a nice mix of two experiences. A busier, more 'bustling' inside, and a quiet, more relaxed outside. Absolutely go again. Cheers.

Wow! Stopped by for 'a pint' which turned into a marvellous malbec & fantastic fries, with GORGEOUS garlic mayo, and I did not want to leave! What a gem, such lovey staff🥰
