10/10 homemade desserts, lovely sun trap garden out back and benches out front. Low ceilings with exposed beams and huge fire place inside. Good selection of beers on tap. Right on downslink cycle route... gets v busy!

Really lovely country pub with friendly staff.
Nice beer garden at the back.
I don't eat here as previously my Husband got an almost raw burger and people at the next table complained too as their pie was all gristle and no meat.
Our friends went for a meal there recently and also got served a very undercooked burger too.
I wouldn't order anything more than chips !!
It's such a shame as it's a lovely pub.

Called in for lunch half way through a walk. Lovely pub and delightful girls serving at the bar. Chose from a large selection Lunch menu. Very good food. Sad that there were very few customers there to appreciate it, but that's just a sign of the times at present. Hopefully things will pick up eventually before these country pubs go out of business!!

Booked on line very last minute and had a lovely meal.
Everyone that worked there , and the locals that didn’t couldn’t be more friendlier.

Food very reasonable, and lovely, so nice to not be hurried and just relax and eat and have a drink.

Disappointing. It was a Monday night and whilst reasonably busy we weren't expecting to have to wait 1h15 for our food. There were two of their menu items not available which on a small menu section does cut options down. After ordering, we subsequently heard other tables being told there were specials (we hadn't been offered any).
The fish and chips didn't come with the minted pea purée that was advertised, only frozen peas and we had to ask for the advertised tartar sauce.
The Smoked Haddock, Chorizo and Spring Onion Fishcakes had salami instead of chorizo and no signs of spring onions.
The mussels had several which were closed and a sorry amount of ciabatta instead of the advertised sourdough.
Won't be going back.

Here for classic car show pub provided out side food and bar. A well organised event with a large number of cars on display.

When enjoyed their outside patio. Most of the food was delicious. My partner will recommend their pulled pork burger. And we will say for the board with Sussex cheese and all on it. The perfect combination.

Lovely local pub. Friendly atmosphere and lovely food and drink. Also dog friendly.
