Strange pub. There's a prison down the road and they don't serve food or coffee, so they're losing out on a lot of regular business. The place was void of atmosphere seeing as it was virtually empty at lunch time. The barmaid was keeping herself amused by giving the books on display a good wipe over, and that was the highlight of our visit. Will not be going there again in a hurry.

Wasnt to happy with service, I wanted a gin and tonic, no ice and the tonic was warm, couldn't drink it, told a member of staff said she get ice but she went off texting on her phone which she made obvious we could see her, shame really as it was a lovely cozy pub..

Friendly village pub with pool table. Limted choice of drinks and no food.

What a mistake to celebrate here an event with some friends. 0 customer service and the whole atmosphere there had something to it as the staff loom all upset or overworked.

It's a lovely big looking old pub and Ive always wanted to go in there, so tonight we decided to go check it out , me & my boyfriend walked in to check out the pub for a future booking.
And as we looked around the landlady asked me if I was Alright in a intimidating voice and I said "ignore me, we are just looking around"
And she said "excuse me"
She made me feel so uncomfortable, I left straight away from the very cleaky pub.
Which is a shame but i will not be going back.

Gets a decent crowd once in a while. Quite cliquey which I'm not a fan of. Not a place you'd want to take your partner for food or a drink. Very quite and dull most of the time. 1* because it does sell alcahol
