The King James has gone up in my estimation. About 18 months or so ago went in for our first meal, me & my wife. Well.. very surprised, for pub grub very nice, variety of choices & great value for money, excellent. Has now become our regular for meals, especially Thursday curry night, lovely, when we get in & it's to late to cook. Handily just 10 mins just round the corner. Staff always smiling & polite. See you again soon....

Staff were very friendly. However some were standing around when there were things to be done. Main course was lovely, delicious and arrived promptly however waited around half hour for 4 ice cream sundaes and an apple pie and custard. Have been before so know this isn't normally the case

Went here yesterday for a birthday lunch and had 5 noisy kids with us but staff made us welcome. Food came out quick and it was ok. Would like to say a big thank you to Tyler the waiter for his brilliant service we had a great time.

Lovely place for a spot of light lunch. Service was prompt and food was delicious. Only 4 stars due to a pair of drunk fellas whose departure delighted everyone in the pub, thus improving the atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon.

I have had breakfast here on a Sunday morning whilst heading home from a night away from home several times. As you would expect, the food is always hearty and the quality is spot on. I do find it odd that most of the other customers there are already on the beer (or wine) by 9.00 am but hey, this is Cheshunt, so I guess anything goes. I will defiantly be back in the future.

Possibly one of Spoons least interesting buildings but I was impressed by the attentive and friendly staff.

Came in with my disabled father, staff was amazing, we had table service from Jennifer I believe her name was and she was very friendly and attentive. Hot food and nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Fairly typical Wetherspoons. Well maintained but the lowish ceiling makes the pub look a bit dim and at times a bit seedy. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the large range of proper beers well kept.

Beer prices very reasonable, at the sort of prices you pay up north. Food is very cheap.
Curry night is exceptional, I paid £6.70 for a decent chicken curry, rice, nan, 2 poppadoms AND a pint of splendid light 4° Windsor Knot. Amazing value.
