We loved the location and the garden! Arrived here on a Monday afternoon, starving, after one day on the road. The weather was pleasant, the ducks in the pond next to the pub friendly. Food was fantastic and beautifully presented! We loved the bacon, liver and veg dish and the smoked salmon and prawns salad. Prices are good value, staff very friendly... I would recommend it if you are in the area.

Great food at reasonable prices. Staff are very friendly. Been the last 3 weeks for Friday Pie Day. £11.95 for a lovely hot dinner of pie, veg, choice of potatoes, and pudding. Felt like we'd had a good filling dinner. Full menu available if preferred. Highly recommended.

This was my first visit to this establishment. I was very impressed with the menu options. There are the staples on every menu, steak, fish, meat pies, salads and pastas. But what shouted out to me was the steak and mushroom suet pudding with mash and veg. It was exquisite. On a busy Saturday afternoon, every table was in use, we did not feel rushed at any point. 2 of our party were on a flying visit from Minnesota, they commented that the food and service was better than they could expect to receive at home. In these trying times it was refreshing to see that we weren't subject to paying the same price for smaller portions. Well done to the team. We shall definitely be visiting again soon.

Always excellent service matching the superb food and at reasonable prices. Unchanged over the years the Waggon and Horses experience is a constant in an ever changing world. You will not be disappointed!

This was the fourth time we have been to this pub and had a meal. The staff are all friendly, food is good and the price is resemble. It is that good we have done another group booking for this time next year.

Lovely afternoon with the family. The staff was super friendly and the location is charming with the little lake behind the pub. Food was good although the wifey said the burger was a little bit dry.

This was my visit and will not be my last.

The food was just amazing. We had the Christmas menu, every course was so tasty and we had plenty to eat.

The pub was fully decorated out for Christmas and was done very well.

So I went here for a family meal fairly recently…
It was my first time here but my family had been a lot in the past!
They said they were always impressed with the food, menu, prices and the general vibe of it, so I was expecting exactly that…
It’s a very small pub and I found it to be quite squished to be honest.
I wanted a glass of cider but it appears that they do very little cider variety…
So I asked for a well known Corona or Desperado, but they didn’t do them either?
In the end I decided to have a Sol!
This brings me on to the food…
The menu didn’t seem to be the one that was found online?
The menu was very limited to be honest.
However I'm not that fussy so I will eat more or less anything!
I discovered that the gammon steak grill which I wanted was renamed ‘Ham and Eggs’
I didn’t realise it would be actual ham though?!
It was literally just cold ham and surprisingly really thick?
I don’t know about anyone else but I have never had cold ham with eggs and chips…
Nevertheless I ate it all because I was very hungry!
My family were left disappointed with the change in menu too and everyone was dissatisfied with their food…
Overall, it’s not the worst place I’ve ever eaten at but I was expecting better!
It is cheap so I guess you get what you pay for right?!
