I have lived in the Hither Green / Lee area for 25 years and only recently ventured into this pub. What a find! Better late than never, they say, and this is a pub I've already returned to on a number of occasions and will continue to do so. A proper pub with knowledgeable, accommodating staff, a lovely, old-fashioned atmosphere, a fine selection of drinks - the Guinness is delicious - and extraordinarily good prices. It may appeal more to a slightly more mature clientele....perhaps all the better for it!!

These are the pubs wetherspoons can never create, we need to keep hold of this type of pub !

Great old school pub to have a drink and watch some games with a very friendly barmaid!

If you're looking for a good old fashioned pub with nice landlord, affordable prices, friendly people, football,racing and news screens and clean loos you've found it.
Don't come here if you're looking for loud trendy young people drinking expensive cocktails and eating hip food while shouting to each other across the saloon or complaining about not being able to afford to buy a house over social media on their expensive "smarter than you" phone's. It's up the road.

I went to this pub to watch a football match. It doesn't look like much outside. But inside, I found a good old fashioned pub with friendly patrons and a very presentable host. Moreover, a landlord who knew how to keep a good Guinness in his cellar.

Today we had a funeral for Steve Ward with the reception held afterwards in this pub. It was perfect in all respects. Well done to all the staff and many thanks.
