Very nice pub the presentation of the food is very good, the healthy option of moma porridge with blueberries and strawberries the best of all the wetherspoons pubs I have been in.

A traditional well looked after public house to stop by without the price tag. The food was great. A basic range of real ales on offer so I can't wait for Wetherspoons to put on their beer festivals for a better range. Some hand pumps were just left empty and I did speak up, unfortunately no fresh ale was put on hence the lower than average scoring here.

I rated this pub last year at 4*, but tonight it's 5* as my steak was excellent, as was my partner's fish and chips! The Abbots ale was perfect and - guess what?! It all cost under £20!! Just as everyone else are putting prices up, Wetherspoons seem to be offering extraordinary value for good grub and ale... Amazing! 😀

This is my favourite local pub, only 5min walk and is cheap and good quality. I'm in this pub at least 2/3 days a week with friends and love the atmosphere, just wish there was more seating inside. Drinks and food are the quality u would expect from a weatherspoons.

Waited for over 20 mintues for two breakfasts!! When it arrived it was STONE COLD!! Then had to wait for another 20 minutes for a replacement!! Even then it was just about edible(plate hot.. food warm)..AND the mushrooms were missing!! Worst wetherspoons pub ever!! avoid if possible best go to a local greasy spoon!!

went there tonight with my wife, just had a couple of drink s across the road, then ended up here for some food
first thing once entering the pub - what a lovely place, brings u back in history a bit,
took a table, ordered some drinks and were quite suprised by the price - much cheaper than in our local pub plus the taste of the real ales here - amazing!
after a couple of pints we've decided to order the food - thats where 4* comes up to - food arrived on time, was good (ordered a burger set for wife and gourmet steak for me - as far as it was tasty i couldn't miss the feeling i had better ones)
in general : good value for money, drinks 100% lovely and the food is ok for the price U are paying

went last week with my friends everything was fine showed the bouncers my id and was served drinks all night until i decided to go in myself and get another drink where this women served me and asks for my id which i give to her she then takes it for 5 minutes comes back and says it’s fake. i get up the email from dvla to show her that it’s real and offer to show her my bank card she then says i need to leave and she doesn’t care and then says she’s not giving my id back which is my provisional which i need for my driving lessons and my test which is in a month, she then says if i bring my passport then she can serve me yet i’ve already got a form of id and i don’t want to risk bringing my passport out as they are expensive and i don’t want to loose it plus i shouldn’t have to because i have my id. luckily i got my id back in the end but very dissatisfied with the service and it was not dealt with professionally.

Bang in the centre of Berkhamsted, a very popular pub/restaurant with affordable traditional British food.
Very old building (in some places, mind the low ceiling) with an impressive double staircase leading to the loos, large and clean.
You can also seat outside on small terraces of different levels.
The evenings are usually busy.
Worth a try...
