Great place to come and watch football, loads of screens. Table app service is good. Food was decent. Will go again when in Stevenage.

The Drapers is a quality place to go. Forever friendly staff and the food has always been 5*

I’ve tried a few different dishes and for pub food, you can’t go wrong. (I’m a foody too!!)

The price of the food compared to the quality is outstanding. Especially in this cost of living crisis! You’re still able to feed a Family of 6 for under £50!

Good selection of Drink (They still do Fosters!!)
Great food

5*

The food always looked good when I walked past. So, on Saturday, my husband and I, and two friends went in for breakfast. We were very impressed. The staff were lovely. The breakfast was delicious and a very reasonably price, and what impressed me was the fact that the food was nice and hot, and came on hot plates. Something that doesn’t happen everywhere. We will definitely be coming back.

We spent a day and most of the evening here yesterday. The pub is very spacious with plenty of seating. The whole group ate food which was enjoyed by all. There were two children in our group who were made to feel welcome. Special thank you to the wonderful CJ who looked after us all night. Being a large group we made a few mistakes when ordering which were entirely our own fault, CJ delt with it quickly and politely and couldn’t have done more to make our visit as wonderful as it was.

Stay away from the festive Turkey burger - it’s literally 2 Bernard Matthew’s Turkey burgers with some very hard, teeth breaking chips.
The kitchen was totally under staffed. (Not their fault) - but just let the customer know there’s going to be a very long wait when ordering.

I went to Drapers for a night out with my care company as it was our awards ceremony…. 12 of my colleagues queued up and got in… after ordering my first drink the same doorman that let me in and searched me ask me to take my trilby hat off… I have an anxiety disorder regarding my hair and my hat was my outfit a a no my security. I was forced to take it off… later that evening I took videos of our group enjoying them self’s and what I saw 👀 upset me… there were several people happily wearing hats and beanies …. This upset 😢 me as I was wearing a smart tweed suit and brogues and those others wearing head gear wear wearing jeans and sweat tops 😔

Reserved a table for live sports to watch the England game. Turned up and we’d been seated outside in the middle of December. No option when booking online of indoor or outdoor seating for live sport. Very misleading. After speaking to a member of staff was told there was nothing they could do. Paid a £50 deposit and was told they would not be able to refund it. When sat outside the TV would turn off every 15-20 seconds. Went inside again and was told by another member of staff that it’s known that TV doesn’t work. Member of staff came out to check said he would go inside and have a look as to why it wasn’t working and was never to be seen again. Why would you allow people to book the table for live sports if it’s known it doesn’t even work? And to top it off, friends had told me they’d reserved a table the day before and got sat inside. Where as we booked four days in advance.

Friendly staff. Nice cold variety of beers on tap. But the place is in need of a renovation.
