Stopped off here after walking from the zoo. Had a drink and ordered food, although food was incredibly slow. We asked for a doggy bag and was able to take the food away as we had to leave. As well as this they also were lovely enough to give a refund. Food was lovely and staff seemed friendly and bubbly enough. Seemed quiet in there

Good food, children's play area and plenty of parking. Could have done with a few guest ales but would definitely go again, not least because the play area kept the children entertained while we were ordering and waiting for the food to be cooked.

The food is lovely and reasonably priced for the quality. The atmosphere is relaxed and calm even during school holidays it's still a lovely place to be. The staff are always friendly and happy to help and the drinks menu is varied. The kids enjoy the outside play area and it's safe away from the road so no need for the parents to worry! The garden areas are spacious and comfortable during good weather. Overall an exquisite place to have lunch/dinner. We'll certainly be returning again!

Very good Sunday Roast. Generous portion, crisp potatoes, lovely Yorkshire pudding and great Top Site of Beef. Very friendly staff. Quick service. Don't be put off by the slight tired looking interior. Can heartily recommend the place

We visited for lunch. Each had homemade pie. The chicken pie crust was extremely hard mostly unedible but our lamb pies had puff pastry top and was delicious. Finished with a lovely pudding.
Very nice, clean pub/restaurant but very quiet. We would visit again

Stopped for a bite tonight after the zoo. All I can suggest is get better chefs.

One was biting his nails and on his phone in full view of us, which is not really the best image for a kitchen. The food was decent for the price but had zero flavour to it.

Front staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The risotto was bland and tasteless, the sundae was alright. Our waitress was friendly enough but didn't offer any substitute for the awful risotto when I said I didn't like it. It was fairly empty for a Thursday night but it's the first (and last) time I've been there so no idea if the atmosphere picks up ever. Wouldn't go there again for food. Even by pub food standards it fell very short.
