The George Inn in Middle Wallop is a local treasure. This gem is under new management and as a result, the rooms have undergone a makeover, so is the pub and restaurant. The local celebrity chef has worked for some of the most prestigious restaurants. He serves up a mouth tingling and finger licking menu which is different each day. The food is cooked with passion and the highest level of skills - you will be wowed each time you visit. The bar is stocked with a very wide range of drinks, the atmosphere is very friendly and inviting, the staff are very polite, courteous and professional, the bed and breakfast rooms are furnished to excellent standards and a huge back garden makes the warm summer nights a real treat. The George Inn is very highly recommended - you must visit!

Lovely pub. Lovely big garden area. Delicious food and fresh chips, not frozen.

Really enjoyable stay. Well looked after by all the staff, especially Mark the owner.
I stayed at the George for a week whilst in England to visit family. Dealing with the establishment was simple and easy, the staff were always courteous and attentive. Breakfast was exceptional - so much so I often added my family to the breakfast reservation. I will happily return there the next time I am in the UK. Wishing all the best to Mark and the team. Thanks for making my stay with you so simple and relaxing.

Friendly staff and good food. Took a little while so freshly cooked. Not the cutest pub or location so took off a star.

Came in for sunday dinner around 3pm and although roast was really lovely the service is absolutely terrible. There was only one more table eating at the time. The waitress has been chatting away and standing at the bar on her phone. Took long time to take our order - we asked how long is the wait for the food as wanted to take our toddlers outside to play told “it won’t be long” - was over 30min! After waiting for ages for pudding menus had to ask ourselves and then been told “the kitchen actually shut already so I will have to quickly take your order”… in the end got up to pay ourselves to find out waitress standing at the bar back to everyone just on her phone - didn’t notice till another staff came and told her we are waiting to pay. Such a shame as the food was so lovely and has potential but won’t be visiting again since the service is so poor.

We stopped here after a long day and was fitted in with a table. Not expecting much we was totally delighted with some fantastic food and great friendly service.
The butternut squash soup was the best we have both had anywhere .
The vegetable pie served with perfect vegetables and a mash to dye for .We will be back when in the area .all in all ,top food, great service.
