Kinda stuck on what to write first as everything was literally perfect, a 10 out of 10. Yes the pub is a beautiful old building set in the middle of one of our countries most stunning cities this obviously makes it pretty special, but the real jewel in their crown has to be the attitude of their staff not just one of them but every last member of the team made my wife and I feel so welcome. Truly outstanding! Oh and the room and breakfast 😋 were spot on as well. Thank you we will be back.

Stayed here for 1 night last week and it was fantastic. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean...but extremely hot due to the weather.
The breakfast was probably the best in all the hotels and Inns we had stayed in through Somerset, Wiltshire and Hampshire! Absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection!
I'd definitely stay here again.

It is nice pub but be aware till 17 of august or so they do renovations! I like the quality of food and we stayed in this property for 1 night! It was nice because the room was big and renovated. Also we took superior room than you can have parking. Otherwise it is very hard to find the place to park in those narrow small streets of this nice small town. Be aware of 3 floors and if you have heavy luggage- you will know If you in good physical shape or not ;))))) I love to open windows but in our hotel it was not possible:( but they gave uuu dyson fan.

I cannot recommend this place enough. It is a really quintessential old English pub, which also serves amazing top quality food! The decor is amazing if you like 'oldy world's English Pubs. The staff are extremely friendly & professinal, and will do their best to accommodate any needs you have drink or food wise. Its one of the oldest pubs in Winchester, which is in turn a beautiful city! 11/10, highly recommended!!

I needed a venue for 1 evening near the college. The room was very smart and comfortable indeed, from well appointed bathroom with good ceramic tiles and shower, to an excellent selection of both coffee pods and coffee bags. The mini fridge with complimentary water and beer was a marvellous touch.
The pub and staff were welcoming the choice of ales was good and the food was excellent. An added bonus was the on site car par.
If you're looking for a place to stay for a short visit to this historic town....the Wykeham Arms fits the bill. Dog friendly an added bonus

Superb old urban pub with an illustrious past by all accounts. It positively reeks of history so we chose the Wykeham when the Spanish in-laws were visiting Winchester with us - suffice it to say they were impressed. Friendly staff and locals are the cherry on the top. If it’s good enough for Nelson then it’s good enough for me.

My friends and I passed by this pub like 4 years ago and we still speak about it to this day, we simply forgot the name! The ambience was 10/10, very quite and peaceful place. Super friendly service from the bartender and good ales too! A must-go if you go around Winchester's cathedral!

Just had possibly the best dairy-free roast dinner I’ve ever had. Very accommodating staff and kitchen who swapped bits so they were dairy-free. Brilliant service and exceptional food. Can’t wait to go back!
